The are fast to target, but don't connect most of the time.
Pros
fast
Cons
Cost, not accurate.
out of 16 pellets tried today in my Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper this was hands down the worst performer. Sure the crack when these break the sound barrier is neat but that in no way makes up for 10 plus inch groups at 25 yards. (plus is because one was not even on paper to measure)
Pros
None if you can't hit anything it pretty much blows everything else out of the water.
Cons
Very poor accuracy at least from my gun suspect they may deliver somewhat better out of a slower gun but then at slow speed their wispy weight will make them useless for anything but paper punching.
I can't hit a thing with these pellets. They really are at the mercy of the wind, like another reviewer said. I don't care about increased velocity as long as my pellets hit their target. These do not. Easily deformed while loading and have hardly any mass at all, I was shocked at how light they were. This also means that if they do hit their target they barely make a dent in it, so that pretty much kills them for hunting of any sort. I don't like shooting or handling lead very much and I don't like the lead getting into my soil in my yard, so I really wish they would make a lead-free pellet that actually had a similar mass. If you are looking for any kind of accuracy or power, look elsewhere as these are a disappointment.
Pros
Lead free and environmentally friendly.
Cons
Completely inaccurate, easily deformed, absolutely no punching power at all.
I know in the last five years my gun have lost some velocity as PBA Raptors no longer go supersonic. Dropped one of these puppies in there and the old familiar crack returned. I always wonder about people claiming that it can't hit targets due to bad ammo. I can hit the lid of a dog food can at 65 yards (which it goes through) two out of three times. The other one maybe a flyer or I am just off enough to miss it up there on the fence post. It also goes twice as far into the phone book as the Crosman wad cutter. I say you get your money's worth here.
Pros
Penetration
Goes supersonic
Cheaper than PBA
More accurate than PBA
Cons
None
Even with a nice well lit target, gun vice, and laser these pellets would not group anywhere. The problem is these pellets are totally lacking any mass so they are at the mercy of the air. They can't push through the air so they fly erratic and just land where the wind blows them. If you intend to hit a target, any target, with any degree of accuracy these are not the pellets you want. If you hunt, all you will do with these is get your prey to duck and laugh. If you shoot field target with these you will be lucky to come in last. 10 meter will be the same. In my opinion, Crosman might have been an air gun innovator, but nowdays, they need to stick to a place they excel... low end airsoft accoracy and precision aren't needed. All it has to do is send out a plastic projectile somewhere down range. Crosman really needs to stay out of the ammo market.
I do not like the rather shoddy pellets. The skirts all have a thin side and thick side which creates a wobble and hurts accuracy. Second they are made out of aluminum. They fly very fast, make a nice loud crack, but have no mass so they basically bounce off a grounhog at a high rate of speed and perhaps leave a tiny stinging bruise on it. In reality it is a non-precision wad cutter with a dent in the top. Buy something else.
These pellets don't look like they do in the picture. The head is flatter in real life. It looks like they took a pic of Beeman's crow magnum. That being said, they do deliver a lot of stopping power up close. I wouldn't waste one on a far off target as they are very inaccurate.
This pellet has been updated. now it is called the ssp lead free hollow point. I think crosman listened to people and changed them a little. now both the head and skirt of the pellet look the same when viewed from the side and it can be hard to tell which end is which. Also the holow point is very shallow. I have tested them and they do fit a "niche". in accuracy testing the groups were not to great at about 1 inch at 15 yards out of my daisy 880. With most pellets at that range it shoots about 1/2 inch groups. but when I tested them on a few layers of drywall, they hit it very hard and smoke was coming out of the entry whole. when it exited the first layer the exit hole was as big as the destroyer ex's. it was about 1/2 an inch wide the pellet stopped faster than the destroyer ex. it expanded to about .195 in diameter.pretty good for lead free. That's when a great purpose for the pellet popped into my head. This pellet would be almost perfect for rat hunting in barns and around houses at 15 yards and under. If you want a decent pellet that hits very hard for close range hunting you should get some of these. Also an interesting fact is that these pellets smell like fish.
i shot a piece of papya and the papya and it destroyed it from 300 feet away of this is true im 6"2~ 290
This pellet is not for break barrel. They will ruin the gun. Its the same as dry firing. They are not accurate and have no shock value.Dont wast your money or your rifle.
Pros
Absolutely none
Cons
There is not enough room on this page to list them
