DROZD BB Gun Reviews
These reviews of Baikal Drozd BB Gun. The author(s) of the following reviews are in no way affiliated with Airgun Depot. The views expressed below are personal opinion only.Good Points:
Well built BB gun... a lot of steel internally. Weighs almost four pounds.
Very good yield from a standard 12 gram Powerlet CO2 cartridge...about 90 shots
Bad Points:
Holds only 30 rounds in the magazine but the speed loader that comes with it eases the reloading pain substantially.
Extra magazines are pricey...about $40 U.S.
General Comments:
This is a great toy but frankly I've been surprised by its velocity performance. It routinely pumps out steel BBs at round 500 feet per second which is significantly above the factory specs of 330 FPS. Not bad at all.
It's definitely not a backyard plinker. It makes a good racket when fired, very similar to a paintball gun. The select fire feature allows 300, 450 or 600 rounds per minute firing rates when in 3 or 6 round auto burst mode. It has a selection for semi-auto mode as well.
I wish it was set up for semi-auto, 3 round and full-auto bursts. A lot of us would just like to empty a magazine pronto...just to do it.
The firing system is electronic. Very little trigger pull is required because essentially it's not mechanical. All that happens when the trigger is pulled is closing an electrical contact to engage the electronics.
This is a lot fun. Well worth the money.
