The QB series of air rifles are some of our absolute favorites. They embody everything that an airgun should be: they are accurate, simple to operate, inexpensive, and most of all they are just plain old fun. The QB78 Repeater Kit takes that fun to the next level, allowing you to use Benjamin 10 round rotary magazine so that you spend less time loading pellets and more time shooting. No more having to fish around in your pockets for pellets, just load up a few magazines and you're ready to go.

The kit comes with all the parts you will need to install the repeater breech kit as well as convert the bolt to a cock on opening mechanism. Basic hand tools are required for installation and the install takes about 30 mins from start to finish. Instructions are included for the install, but you can also watch out install video below. I bought this item to convert one of my Beeman QB-78 rifles to a magazine repeater. I also have a very nice Crosman 160 with the S331 receiver sight. Very nice that is except it would not shoot better than a 4" group for 5 shots at 25 yards due to an oversize bore. I was never able to find the proper barrel to remedy this malady and had put the rifle away. I decided to compare the parts of the conversion to the parts of the Crosman 160 and found that everything was properly located, but the screws to mount the receiver did not have the correct thread size or pitch to fit the thread in the 160 parts. I simply converted the thread in these two parts of the 160 to the screws provided in the kit. After that everything else fit perfectly and I now have my Crosman 160 shooting very accurately as a repeating rifle. It will now shoot 5 Crosman Premier Domed pellets into .391" at a velocity of 635 fps.
The magazine feeds the pellets smoothly into the chamber with each of the four pellets I have tried so far. All of them were domes from Crosman, JSB, H&N and Air Arms. Two of these group into less than 1/2" and two of them into a little over 3/4". I am very pleased with the smooth feeding and very good accuracy. All pellets also shoot almost identical points of impact with 1/2" variation in elevation only.
The instructions were very clear and will guide you into just what is needed to complete the installation. I have converted two QB-78 rifles using the performance upgrade, and both rifles gained over 100 fps from the factory velocity. This Repeater upgrade has all of the same improvements of the performance upgrade with the addition of the receiver, barrel and other parts needed.
With the very good pricing of the QB-78, this upgrade allows you to have one heck of a nice looking rifle that is both accurate and powerful for a little under $300.00 + the cost of the optic of your choice.

Cons
I found nothing lacking in this kit in either quality or otherwise.
