This was recommended by customer service chat for use with PCP's. I use it with cleaning pellets. When I start getting fliers or my groups seem to be opening up I run 1 though. I just cut a slip in the plastic cup under the lid, turn it so a little oozes out then place the pellet in it and let it soak about 1/2 the pellet. Place the pellet in the chamber oily side first and fire it off. Then it's good to go for a while again.
Pros
For PCP guns
Cup under cap is handy

asked Capt. Jitendra from IndiaCan Ballistol be used as a chamber oil in spring-air rifles, or would it “diesel?â€
asked RayI do acknowledge why Andrew answered as he did. However, to be clear, mineral oils in general are of the same "family" as what are commonly called petroleum distillates. Both mainly consist of carbon-Hydrogen alkanes ( think of them as strings of carbon atoms with hydrogen atoms attached). "Mineral spirits" generally refer to oils only containing long 'strings' while the term 'petroleum distillate" to shorter 'strings.' But actually, today, both are produced by distillation of petroleum -based oils/tars. What this means is that dieseling of mineral spirits requires higher pressure for detonation. This is why Basitol can used in PCP barrel cleaning. The rifle barrel in use has both rapid decompression & a low air & hence oxygen volume making detonation of long 'string' a non-issue. Personally, and it only my opinion, I would hesitate to use it in areas where is not a rapid decompression & low air volume. regards, Lar V.
Lawrence from USAI would say yes since it is a mineral oil based product and not made from proteleum distillates.

it's a good lubricant, didn't feel greasy, sticking or too heavy to use.
Pros
