Would not buy again. Think they take all there rejects, copper plate them, then sell them as something great.
Cons
Inconsistent sizing. All over the map.
My RWS 54 likes these pellets the best for shooting long distances, i.e. 80+ yards. I have not come across any that are loose in the barrel, however my barrel does seem to be on the tight end of the tolerance. Beeman's QC is good; I haven't come across one mis-shaped pellet in about 5 tins. Also, the plating seems very consistent.
Pros
Group better than I can shoot.
When the sun is just right, you can see the pellet fly easier than non-plated lead pellets.
Pretty.
Cons
A little on the light side for close range shooting.
Pricey, but you're getting your money's worth with these.
Approximately 1 in 5 of these beautifully crafted German made pellets (copper coated lead) fit loosely in the barrel of my reconditioned benji. By simply replacing these with the other 4 that fit perfectly, from 23 yards on a rest I was able to shoot quarter sized groups by the end of the tin (pretty good for the first 200 shots through the gun). They are very consistent and leave little to no lead residue on the fingers. They hit hard enough to have severely deformed the back of my steel pellet trap, and in some cases, ripped through. I have only taken house sparrows incidentally while sighting in the rifle but the impact and lethality of the pellet on targets in the 20 to 35 yard range was impressive. I have no doubt that larger animals will drop just as fast with well placed shots. I've read that this pellet's copper coating actually reduces lead fouling in the barrel , similar to the H&N green pellets. I can't verify that but can tell you that they cost MUCH less than the lead free variety. Being cheap and rather lazy about cleaning my rifle, that appeals to me. One more thing- their copper color makes them much easier to see as they whizz down range. Get two tins, you won't regret it and the folks at AGD have taken good care of me and my purchases. Happy shooting!
Pros
Less expensive alternative to lead free, accurate, hard hitting, well made, consistent size/shape , easy to see in flight
Cons
Frequently out of stock, price is more than non copper coated lead
The Benjamin NP all weather 22 put three round groups the size of a quarter from 10 yards out to forty, after hefty break in period for the rifle. Great for target practice, VERY ACCURATE, Bad for hunting, the penetration leaves much to be desired. I am willing to give the larger 21 grain a shot for hunting. Hope the rifle groups them as well as the lighter target rounds.
Pros
Very accurate
Dependable consistency
Cons
Not for hunting
getting group's as good as crosman hp's about a 1/2" @30 yards
Pros
good clean pellets, no flashing like some copper plated pellets, a bit heaver then the Crosmans
Cons
thay seem to delead the bore, pricey
Hard plating makes these hard hitting rounds
Pros
large damage
