I am on the fence with this rifle. It seems has the power it boasts, but I really would prefer a straight barrel without the suppressor end with sights built in. I would like the option to put old school barrel sights on this.
Pros
I like this is a traditional spring break barrel, along with the 20mm dovetail grooves. I also like it has barrel sights as I prefer not to use a scope. Most pellets seems to shoot between 1000 and 1100 including my plastic/alloy hybrids. Occasionally one pellet may crack (break sound barrier 1100fps). Maybe 1 out of a hundred shots. I use from 5gr.+/- to 7.4gr.+/- various round or point shaped. Daisy, Winchester and crosman brands.
My gun came to $130 total. So at this range I will state it is as expected. I may purchase a daisy 1101s/ Winchester 1100 to compare it to (is $70 without scope, claims 1100fps with alloy).
All online reviews of the longhorn state 1200fps, but the box states 1100fps. HAM test displays 1200 with 4.5 alloy, 1000 to 1100 with lead variants. I would believe that.
Cons
The rear barrel sights have too much play. I adjusted them as left as they can go then before each shot push the rear base to the right. It still lacks a continuous placement between shots but its as close as i get. They have too much play left to right. The traditional verticle adjustable wedge style on older cheap BB guns is alot more accurate.
The breech seal blew a piece out in the first five shots, i believe to dieseling. When not dieseling its I believe as loud as it should be for the power, but if you get any oil in there and it diesels it will be as loud or louder then a .22 LR rimfire. The breech has blown open maybe 3 shots in the first 200+/-. Probably due to the compromised seal i have or when it diesels. It could latch tighter.

Beeman has been around this industry for a long time, I appreciate their attention to detail and quality.
Pros
I like the weight. It’s not too heavy, but heavy enough to remind you that it’s no toy. I like the velocity for under $150.00 and the ergonomic grip coupled with adjustable trigger makes it a comfortable fit for my hands.
Cons
Scope is not useful as expected. You’ll have no trouble knocking out small game and targets but don’t expect intentional head shots due to the sights beings so plain and inaccurate. Buy a new scope and she’s a winner for the money.
