The Beeman R7 Elite is an accurate fun and easy shooting youth airgun. In effect, it's a miniaturized version of the R9, making the R7's features are head and shoulders above most youth air guns. Featuring a gorgeous checkered stock, the R7's small size is easy to manage, and its shorter barrel makes it easy to cock without reducing its accuracy. The R7 is all metal and wood with no plastic parts to be found externally. Featuring the famed 2-stage Rekord trigger of the R9 with its exceptionally crisp breaks adds to the quality of the R7's build. Each R7 Elite comes with a Mantis 3-9x40 AO Rifle Scope that keeps your targets nice and close. Remove the scope to access the open sights.

shot an inch and a half high out of the box, vertical turret did not move poi at all. greg at airgun depot had me another scope in 2 working days and i now have a tack driver! very happy with the entire experience!

Pros
the trigger, adjustable. can't believe an air rifle could have this crisp of a trigger. the stock is very nice and the finish on the rest of the gun is gorgeous. overall feel is everything you would expect from a german rifle.

An artillery hold is essential. It is not hard to learn but if you grip the rifle hard, like a center fire rifle, the pellets will scatter. A loose hold with a repeatable fixed check weld to the stock is essential. This rifle is worth every penny but it needs a little TLC when it arrives. Worth it? You bet!

Pros
I have owned a number of different air rifles over my lifetime. PCP, springers, pneumatic pistons, etc. One, a low powered Slavia from the 1950s was always my benchmark standard. If you missed, it was you, not the gun. This is the first rifle that matches the accuracy and far exceeds the distance ability of that rifle. Now some things to keep in mind. This is not a tiny rifle made for children. I think of it as an R1 Carbine. It is easy to cock and is, as was said, accurate. With a loose hold and a good rest, it is good for one hole repeat shots. However, it is not a super powerful hunting rifle. It is mainly a target rifle and for that it works great. Can it kill some smaller pests? Yes, but people who say they are shooting dime size groups at 40 yards. Well, I would like to see that, live. Just saying. More reasonable distances, no problem. True: It is beautifully made. The trigger is to die for. It spoils you for other lesser triggers. It is that good.

Cons
When you get the gun tighten everything. I made the mistake of not tightening the scope down as it looked secure. It was not. I was missing the target like crazy until I secured the scope mount better. Clean the bore well. Mine was very dirty . And buy the right pellets. JSB and Air falcons work, period. 8.33 grains is just perfect. My rifle throws crossman pellets around like shotgun patterns. Awful. And do not exceed 9 grains. I tried some 10.5 grain pellets in the rifle. I could feel the spring hit its extension point much harder than it should, and the bullet drop was significantly greater than the 8.33. I would not bother with anything heavy. Maybe it works for some but seeing this gun with heavy pellets made me never want to go in that direction again.

Pros
My Wife bought me this rifle about 6 months ago so far, I have shot 9200 pellets through it and at 20 yds I still hold a .375 C T C. I am 76 years old, and I use it for target shooting although I have used it on one crow and two squirrels. only have had one problem which was with the scope after a little over 8000 rounds it started to not hold 0 so when I called them, they replaced the scope with no problems now I'm back to shooting tight groups at 20 yds. The original price was at the time I thought a little high, but I would not take twice that amount for it now. If you want an excellent shooting gun for small game or target you can't go wrong buying the R7 and air gun depot is the place to buy it.

Shot after shot after shot, this rifle is extremely accurate, have been shooting Crossman 7.9 Premier's, shoot thru the same hole time after time, wish the rifle was a little longer but works for me, auto safety did fail to come on one time but other then that this is one sweet rifle.

Cons
Keep an eye on the safety

This gun is amazingly accurate! This is the best air rifle I have ever bought by far. Easy to cock, trigger outstanding, great scope, spot on across a canal at 45 yards. I love it.

Pros
Accurate, pretty quiet

Cons
Not a lot of killing power

I retired a long time and lately I am into airguns. I did some research and bought some guns. Since I am not going afield to hunt or shoot birds or other pests, the primary use of my rifles is target shooting. It is absolutely accurate in 10 m out of the box. It is light weight as compares to the heavy gun such as TX-200., RWS 34, 350. The Bushnell Banner scope that comes with the rifle is perfect. Buy this and you won't want to buy others. The only other rifle offering the same kind of fun is the Russian IZH61, which also has a tight group if you can use open sight, but not one hole like this R7. By the way, R7 has length of pull of 14 in. It is more for adult and big kid. Again, accuracy is more important than power. Slower fps usually more accurate and easier to cock.

Pros
Accuracy Only 18 lbs cocking efforts as compare to 30+ for high power gun Light weight even with scope short and handy I consider it to be the best in its class I think the shroud is a silencer to dampen the sound

Cons
The price Useless without scope

States that it is 3-Medium in loudness. Airgun Depot video says it's among the quietest air rifles. So is 3-Medium considered quiet? What .177 air rifle would you recommend as the most quiet? Thanks!

asked Mark from USA

mine is super quiet, very backyard friendly, have a walther cp88 comp and a gamo swarm viper and the r7 is much quieter than either of those and i consider them backyard friendly. the quality though will blow you away

Bill from USA

This is it. The Beeman R7 is about a 2 - fairly quite.
