The rings fits snug, and are held rock solid by the 2 allen head screws per ring (the scope mounting rings have 4 allen head securing screws per ring). The height of the rings allow approx. 3/8th . of an inch space between the objective bell (which is 52.9 mm in diameter) and the barrel. Prior to finding these rings, I had no luck with the major scope ring suppliers. No one either had the "high" rings in stock, or made them for the narrow rail mount, I even purchased a Simmons 22 Mag scope with rings, just for the rings. Unfortunately after a dozen or so rounds fired, the rings held by 2 large slotted head nuts loosened (the scope rings only had (2) phillips head screw per ring) and allowed the scope to move..
