I've put over 3500 rounds through my pistol without issues. I'm still improving my shooting mechanics and seeing steady accuracy improvements. I added the recommended mini-laser sight for fun, but I enjoy the tactical 3 dot sight more and my accuracy with the tactical 3 dot sight is approaching the laser sight at about 16-17 feet. I bought three extra magazines, as well, to increase the fun factor.
The fake grip safety is molded into the polymer frame and creates a protrusion that creates slight hand discomfort after many shots in a single session. The blowback action is fun. The trigger pull is firm, but predictable, allowing steady accuracy improvement.
I actually bought two of these pistols for my wife and me. The trigger pull is too heavy and gun size too large for my wife. I'm buying her a smaller gun with a lighter trigger. Now I have two excellent shooters to myself.
Pros
Reliable, consistent shooter. Metal magazine without feed problems. I really like the slide locking open after the magazine is empty. Excellent accuracy. Low price for the performance.
Cons
Slight hand discomfort from the fake molded grip safety. It was molded in a position that sticks out from the back of the grip, creating a localized bump in the hand.
This pistol is of very high quality. Mine has shot around 8,000 rounds so far and has one issue: The mechanism that keeps the slide back when you have run out of ammo is broken.
Pros
Works well and smooth
1,000's of shots before issues
Cons
Co₂ can be hard to screw in without leak
gun looks nice , works ok , mine seems to have a bit of a leak in the co2 sealing dept. will have to ck further ,weight is not as close as my combat 45 that i carried in vietnam (that i still have) and it is as accurate as the remington 45 that i have ,nor does it work as well , but it does look nice, size wise it is very close , and the functions that do work function the same. was a little disapointed with the mag , but that is the nature of things. overall nice copy of old faith full , it served me well for 8 yrs. in combat . thunder
Pros
lite weight easy to use , cool upgrade to color matching and testure feel are neat
Cons
mag is a let down , not that east to fill with out addapter of some kind, lacks a sense of realism , cannot tear down like others for feild strip to clean
If you only buy one bb pistol, this is the one to buy!
Incredible power. Co2 lasts forever. Great blowback action. It's crazy accurate with its rear dot sights.
Pros
Everything about this gun is a pro. High mag capacity. Feels and looks like the real thing. Great weighting. Accurate. Powerful. Buy it! Oh, and low cost for extra mags.
Cons
None
Part of what makes owning air pistols fun and rewarding is their likeness to the real thing. This Colt gets a plus in that department. It is a nice looking gun, and fit and finish is right up there with the best available. It also feels good in your hand, and the slide and grip are good too. The white dot sights are nice. I co-witness them with a Gamo laser on the rail. Accuracy is good, not great. In the 1911 BB gun department, my Colt Special, Tanfoglio Gold, and Remington TAC are all more accurate and more consistent. Reliable accuracy is missing but not badly; the real problem this pistol has is the trigger. It's got a very long take-up and it does not dependably release at the same point each time. My gun is also loud. It does hit hard. I might not buy it again, but like I said initially, it does look good and might find a spot in your collection. It did in mine, but there are several I choose to shoot before this one. I'll click 'recommend', but it's not for everyone.
Pros
Good looking, heft, fit and finish.
Cons
Not a good trigger, uses more CO2 than some others, only average accuracy or less, on the loud side,
This is my 4th 1911 to add to my collection. I already have the Crosman GI 1911, Remington 1911 RAC Tactical and the Colt M1911A1 US Army, all blow back. It is a Umarex product and the quality, finish/fit and authenticity are all top grade. It is constructed of both metal and a hard polymer, but feels and weighs like it is all metal. Magazines are also metal and easily loaded. I bought it b/c I wanted another modern military version of the 1911 with a drop out mag. The two tone finish and the textured grip give the pistol a nice tricked out look. Right out of the package, I was able to put shots in the black on paper and nail cans at over 15 yards. I plan to add a micro laser to the rail below the barrel.
Pros
This pistol has the white dot white sights which I love. The mag is the none CO2 drop out version similar to the Crosman I have. There is an on board CO2 lug wrench built into the grip which is nice. Be sure to purchase a couple extra mags to speed up reloading time. I bought the desert tan, digital camo holster to go with the pistol.
Cons
Although an authentic looking replica in ever way, the pistol does not have an operable grip safety. Only a problem for us purists. The manual safety at the top of the left grip is easily reached and works well. Is packaged in one of those ugly plastic, hard to open, clam shells instead of a nice box.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product.Has anyone ever had a problem with the internal slide wearing out and breaking? I put about 500 bbs through mine and noticed metal filings on my arm and around the upper metal slide.
asked Scott from USADoes the slide stay back on this gun
asked Daniel from USAIs there orange on the tip
asked RyanCan you fire with no magazine..I just want to train with it and practice trigger control without constantly loading bb's.
