Love the Colt "Python." The Weight and Feel is like the Original. The 425-fps is powerful. Have shot with BB's but not Pellets yet but feel they will also do the trick.
No "Cons" at this time..........
so good
I wanted to love this gun but it proved to be less accurate that I required. My particular gun would severely change its Point Of Impact (POI) as the barrel cooled off from firing. Each successive 10 shot group would end up about 3/4 of an inch lower and to the left of the previous 10 shots. After the over 100 shots that you get on each CO2 cartridge you end up grouping 4-5 inches low and left at a distance of 12 yards even though my chronograph was reading very little change in velocity. That didn't suit my purposes. I have several of the longer Pythons that use this polymer frame and they don't do this, so it may just be my gun or it may be that the shorter barrel cools in a way that causes a twist.
It has a terrific trigger in both single and double action and some of the best adjustable sights I have ever seen on a bb gun. Heck, they rival some firearm sights that I have used. The light weight is ideal for someone that doesn't possess a lot of arm strength or who just doesn't want to be sore after a long shooting session. IMO it is a perfect trainer for a child. At the typical 5 yard distance that bb guns are fired at, it has more than acceptable accuracy, provided that the gun has a chance to warm between cylinders of bbs because of the issue noted above. Daisy Premium Zinc bbs were the most accurate in mine and Crosman Copperheads will fall out of the cylinder as you try to load it into the gun.
Pros
Great for small shooters who are being trained in sight management and trigger control.
Good lesson in "read the reviews". There's a reason this pistol got mostly 5 stars: realistic - hard to tell from the real thing, powerful. accurate, a really fun gun to shoot, well made. feels good in the hand(s). Very well thought out in terms of feel, loading, accepting both pellets and BB's and rifled barrel. A steal at the price.
Pros
All of the above
Cons
A bit lighter than the real thing due to plastic and metal combo, but still plenty heavy to be an enjoyable quality.
Great Design, But beware of air leak and power fail. after 1 year I had this problem eating up Co2 capsules and not getting maximum use. Beware of 1-year warranty by UMAREX. The cost of refurbishing, versus buying NIB airguns. is a hassle so YT comes to my rescue again. as I am not a Professional Gunsmith. I do not want to have useless Air guns in my inventory or tear them apart or can't get parts. Tho I do tear them down after warranty to clean them and hopp them up.
But ! an Easy fix. For all air guns Airsoft and a prevention for NIB Air Guns too.
Think Lithium grease and hair dryer to seal vale seal eternal and at the Co2 capsule valve piercing area.
Fixies all my problems out of warranty guns even if they are 5 years old Stops eternal Un Audible leaks and fixes any power performance problems.
Pros
Handling and replacing Co2 capsules.
Cons
Magazine Design. But I like em Keeps cost down. If you want authenticity by a Dan Wesson for lifelike Ammo cartridges.
Great little pellet pistol. Haven't used BB's so can't say about that. It looks real so don't let a kid get a hold of it without supervision.
A O K with me
Shoots nice and feels real in your hand.
Pros
Not to loud and comes with 2 each pellet and BB mags.
Cons
Need to be careful when purchasing pellets. Some of the higher end alloy pellets encased in plastic are to long to allow the mag to turn while in the gun.
I have this one and the Crosman all metal SNR. Both are nice. This Colt is lighter but still feels very good in your hand. It has a really smooth trigger, with a light pull that does not affect your aim. Adjustable rear sight was off just a bit out of the box. I did put a drop of white paint on the front sight. I really like the magazine. Slides in the pistol easily. I learned early on you can seat the pellets or just press them in. If you just insert them it's a good idea to hold the barrel on a down angle when you slide the mag into the pistol. Once the mag is in, the pellets will not fall out. I tried several brands of pellets and they all fit loose. I settled on RWS Basics. The gun is pretty accurate at 15-20 feet.
Pros
Trigger, feel in your hand, good on CO2, accuracy, 10 shots per, dual ammo (I didn't try BBs), good price, worth the money.
Cons
None really, just don't expect a $300 pistol.

asked MichaelWhat would be a good holster i also one a Dan Wesson 2.5 and don't have a holster for that
asked ,Kevin from USAWhat rotary clip/cylinder/magazine does this use ? Same clip holds BB and pellets ? I would get extra clips but AD and UMAREX websites and the user manual (https://files.umarexusa.com/Manual-Colt-Python-Polymer-PelletBB-6inch-CO2-Airgun-2280037-12R15.pdf) don't give any/clear info on which accessory/replacement clips to use with the Colt Python 2.5" BB & Pellet Revolver. Might be this one https://www.umarexusa.com/products/colt-python-177-10-rounds-mag-3-pk but would like AD or someone that has bought accessory/replacement clips to confirm.
