Says it is blowback, but only barely. Sights are pathetic and this is least efficient “400 FPS”
Waste of time and money
Cons
Feels cheap, the slide has a good amount play
Bad sights
Bad magazines
HAVE NOT FIRED IT YET BUT LOOKS AND FEELS GREAT NICE COLLECTABLE ALSO
Pros
AOK
Cons
NON YET
Shame crosman destroyed the 40 yrs of respect I had selling that worthless mag.
Pros
Good otherwise
Great gun
A must own for those who enjoy the feel and quality of this version of the 1911. The pistol is fun to shoot, has enough power to realize excellent target and plinking results, in addition, a fine pistol for those young adults to learn the feel of a real pistol!
Cons
Trigger pull is a little tight with to much slack before contact is made to fire.
Works fine, needs a bit more weight in the slide to make the feel closer to reality. Still worth the money.
Pros
good feel in the hand.. weight just about right...
Cons
grip safety is non0-functional, needs more weight in the slide to simulate the feel of blow-back better.
10 out of 10 would buy again
I have just one problem with this gun is the magazine
the bb go out the magazine when we release the spring
I resolve the problem whit a little hole in the gun and I release the spring when the magazine is inside the gun
look picture
Pros
good performance
Cons
magazine problem
Met my expectations. Nice looking gun!
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. What is being done about the spring in the clip ? If it's possible to get more clips at a reasonable price as they seem to fail?
asked Chris from CanadaThat is a question for Crosman. All parts would come thru Crosman.
Mark from USAI want to use this in a short film, and I was wondering if this can be shot without bbs actually in the gun? I just need the blowback to work, but I would rather not actually shoot a bb. Can this be done? Thanks.
asked filmmakerIf I were to fire a shot, would the gun re chamber another round ready to firewithout my pulling back the hammer or manually cocking it myself?
asked Deltalima from USAI just bough one of these and a problem that i have is that the magazine spring dsnt hold the bb's. When i load the bb's and then let the spring go all the bb's fly all around the room, so the magazine spring is not holding the bb's as it should. what should i do?
asked JuliusI took the gun back and purchased a revolver
JeffDakota, that is not a solution, if you release the spring before pushing the clip fully in, the BB's will be released into the clip slot. This definitely a problem with this pistol, to make matters worse, no spare clips are available from Crossman. I give this pistol a thumbs down because of this issue.
BitobiThat is a great ideal, but when you let the spring go, most except 4 or 5 bbs are left in the magazine and all the rest are spilled in the mag slot. Something is not right.
MerlinI have the same problem whit this gun and I fix it I make a little hole in the gun and I release spring when the magazine is in the gun with a little nail look picture
BobI had the same problem. The clip is defective at the top.
John from USAHold your finger on the end as a block to hold them in when you release.
brianTheir should be a clip to hold them in place but if there isn't take a paper clip and cut off two ends and drill a hole through the clip and push the pin through the hole.

John Smith1) Check the small retainer at the top of the magazine. It is spring loaded and not part of the magazine release and spring. It should feel stiffly sprung, not loose. 2) When the magazine is full and you are about to release the main spring, place your finger on the top of the magazine where the BBs will be pushed up and release the retainer Slowly.. 3) If that still doesn't work, it is a defective magazine.
Al from USATry to put the mag in before letting go of the spring

This is a great pistol... as beautiful as original.
Qite powerful, especially for a blowback, which in my opinion is a must with any great classic gun... The closer the imitation, the more realistic the experience is. And this pistol fits all the bill... The metsl is what really makes it.
Even though thegrips are plastic, they appear to be wood, just the plastic feel leaves them wanting.
The fixed sights on mine are spot on, really an accurate piece... in my case... I'm sure once in a while some one will get one where the sights will need tweeking, but it's worth the effort, belive me... Check out any... Any 1911 model, and youll see that Crosmans GI 1911 wih blowback is more powerful than most all the others including monblowback, which you'd think should outpower a blowback.... Definately worth the Very reasonable price... Dont gibe it a sebond thought... Buy this GI 1911!!
Pros
Power... Blowback adds greatly to the experience... All metal frame and slide... The CO2 wrench, magazine set up is nice and conveniant... Great heft and feel. If you saw this in the hands of some pointing it at you... You'd run... Haaaa
Cons
Magzine has a glitch... After a good bit of use... There is a small mechanism that holds back the BB's under spring pressure... It may tend to fail, as mine did, that lets all the bbs puke out at once... Just get yourself a few mags, and shoot the begeeberze outta this baby
