Crosman M4, .177 Caliber, Brown Box

This model is NOT semi automatic. It has to be pumped before each and every shot.

Purchased mine at Canadian Tire. I would imagine most CT's across the country would carry the same stock.

i thinks it is probably because the Regulations in Canada, Vancouver and British Columbia. Customs and Local Laws. It is the only Logical thing they did not accept this items. Regarding My Crosman M4-177 y bought from Air gun Depot. . JUST Perfect and Exellent . Same as i was expecting, good transit time to Puerto Rico, Very easy to handle. Good Quality Product. Exellent costumer service.( I call them first before set the order and they gave my Good attention and awnser my questions. Grade A+++. . And also next month i will request a scope and also anothes M4-177 Crosman. Thanks Guys

To answer your question John, Crosman Premier .177 Super Point Hunting Pellets are lethal to squirrels and rabbits when in range of 15 to 20 yards. Use the maximum of ten pumps and the velocity will be close to 600fps. I have a Red a Dot Scope mounted to my M4 Tactical .177 and it does very well. Good luck and keep shooting!

Each pump is a single shot. This is really just a cool looking gun. Still love my Benjamin .

The Crosman M417 does NOT come with a carry handle - I ordered one even without knowing this for certain. It does, however, come with removable front and rear sights, so a Leapers or other handle can probably be fitted. The rifle is essentially a "flat top", ready to accept whatever optics you choose. I put a NcSTAR 1X42 red dot sight on mine. Good enough for plinking.

Nope - no carry handle - but it does come with removable front and rear sights. The rear sight is an adjustable peep sight that can be positioned for long shots or for closer targets, or you can leave them off if you want to mount optics.

AR-15 parts are compatible with this airgun, (Stocks, ironsights, scopes, electronic sights and lasers) so you can just buy an AR-15 stock for it.

You could try reading the manual, presuming you have one. BB's are loaded into a reservoir, accessed on the left side by moving what looks like a select fire switch. It's marked "LOAD BB ONLY". Pellets should only be used if this reservoir is empty -- otherwise you risk accidentally loading a BB and a pellet together, possibly resulting in damage to the rifle. Pellets are loaded into a five round plastic magazine (or "clip") that should have come with the rifle. The magazine is then inserted into an unmarked rectangular hole just forward of the bolt handle. If it doesn't fit easily into the receiving hole from the right-hand side (the normally correct side), try first putting it in from the left. The molded plastic construction may cause a slightly tight fit, but it should improve with use.

No full auto function, The Gun is pump action, and has a Bolt action that you use for each shot whether using pellets or bb's. My family and I still enjoy the gun; it is not heavy and was fairly accurate out of the box.

The small "switch" (or whatever it's called), allows the stock to be removed. When pressed, it releases the stock, which comes off only by sliding straight up. It is rather odd that it's not mentioned in the owners manual.

Make sure the gun is shooting straight first. Try grouping at 10 yards with iron sights first. If that didnt work after adjustments, it may just be the fact it's not a higher class airgun and hence, suffers from lower end parts and construction.

You can, just make sure your accurate and using tipped magnum-type pellets to ensure some extra velocity. If you want to humanely kill birds, I'd suggest looking into a break barrel or Pre-Charged pneumatic rated for 100fpscin .177 or 800 in .22

You can, but make sure what you are shooting is legal to shoot (and in season), and it'll take out sparrow size birds up to 30yds.

I would suggest a To-scale M4 carbine type rifle for an 8 year old. Start out with a cheap BB gun or a spring pistol.

These sights are very accurate. The rear sight you need just look through it that's all but a tip of advice, place your eye as close as possible to the hole. Though put the rear sight as far to the end as possible, adjust your stock so your head gets closer to the rear sight. I almost touch the cocking handle with my nose. The closer your eye is to the hole the better accuracy you will achieve. BTW there are two holes bigger and smaller choose the latter. The bigger, you might need only for night shooting. Now as you look through the rear site you can forget about it. You don't have to match or position the front pin in relation to the rear sight, just look through it. Focus on the front sight pin and position it on the point you want to shoot (depending on how you zeroed the gun tip on the target or right under it). Now shoot, shoot, don't talk ;)

Another useful tip with this kind of iron sight setup is to put the front sight tip on your target and then looking through the rear sight focus only on the front sight tip. These sights are used on real M16's and M4's. They can be very accurate when applied properly.

Try putting a dot sight or laser on it or something.

Try using a quality dot sight or a scope....

Some further advice: Since the open sights use an aperture (rear) and post (front), most shooters will find that they can get the best sight picture with the rear sight attached as far back on the receiver rail as possible. In other words, the rear sight should be as close to your eye as possible, given the available mounting surface. Hope this helps.

to site this gun in take the clip out not the pellet clip inside you will find the the adjustment tool this will only work on the front site if the gun is shooting high adjust the site up and if the gun is low adjust the site down.

It is pretty easy. Any adult could do it no problem. Small children (under 12) may need help.

Yes, it must be pumped after each shot. Depending on your ammo, and the range to your target, you can expect to pump between 2 and 10 times for each shot (but probably more like 4-6 pumps for most uses). Pumping is easy though, don't let this put you off. :) It's a very fun gun for backyard plinking, I love mine.
