great little gun for pest control and plinking at a price that you really cant beat.
Pros
Awesome Value
Cons
scope tends to loosen up some
Fun and easy to shoot.
Recoil dislodges the scope that it comes with.
Cons
Scope Mount
I bought this as a back up for a Gamo SpecOp and a Gamo Hornet. This was less expensive, lighter and IMHO more powerful than both of those. I replaced the scope with a 3-9x40 cheapo from the Gamo SpecOps and no crow within 60 yards is safe. Really a great starter springer. Wish I'd never wasted the $$ on the Gamos. I'll take this piece every time. The small diameter barrel makes it look shoddy, but don't be fooled. It performs.
Pros
EXCELLENT bang for the buck. Very Light for a springer. Very tight groups at 60 yards and maintains crow knockdown power with hunter type pellets. Break in time is minimal.
Cons
Has a gawd-awful twangy sound. Not loud but sounds like a Red Ryder. Sure doesn't hurt the performance though. Ask any crow within 60 yards. Oh sorry you can't. He's DEAD! Unless you're shooting within 15 yards the hard sights are just useless. You MUST scope this rifle!
This was my first break barrel pellet gun, and I absolutely love it. I use it very frequently, and it is great for anything up to hunting small game such as rabbits and squirrels.
Pros
Accurate, and powerful.
Cons
None
I bought this gun for my first break barrel rifle. I love it. My buddy really liked mine so he ordered a Gamo Hornet. I find that mine is quieter when shooting PBA ammo, which i like. This gun is very accurate. One shot, one kill when hunting cottontail rabbits. Love it. My trigger was fine, but I'm a junky for upgrading things. I threw on a charlie da tuna CBR trigger, which gave it a lighter pull.
Pros
Cheap, reliable, and accurate.
Cons
none
Other than being a bit on the loud side, louder than my 22 rifle, I was quite impressed. First shot sorta startled me. Wasnt ready for the loudness. Would not recommend for backyard plinking. Your neighbors may complain unless your in a very rural area.
Pros
solid well built
Cons
a bit loud
Got mine in the mail yesterday. Shot about 30 rounds through it with open sights. Shot well but limited by my abilities. Mounted the scope this morning and shot another 100 rounds. It took about 20 or so shots to get the scope dialed. Now I am shooting 1/2" groups at 40 yards and popping soda cans up to 70 yard. By the way that is with Crosman EX which is just a good cheap (lead) pellet. This gun shoots hard and is very accurate. Some people complained about the trigger but mine is smooth as glass. I do recommend adjusting it for a shorter second stage pull and proper breathing is key. Also I have seen that some people complained about the scope not staying set or working loose but I again mine works just fine. Perhaps they need to put a little more muscle on the allen wrench when mounting that sucker. Sure its not the quality you get when you spend $100 but it is of good quality and great for plinking or hunting small game. This rifle combo is just plain awesome. For $110 bucks it should be a no-brainer. Shoot one and you will wonder why they don't charge double. It would still be worth it.
Ok. Right when i got this gun it was something special. Took it out. Sighted it in. Next day shot 56 birds. Half of the kills were head shots. This gun will dominate any other break barrel airgun. This gun shot through 20 cans all lined up.
This gun is BEAST
And a WORKHORSE
great for the price, drops birds, if you shoot pop cans you cant even tell you hit it because its so fast. only complaints is that the sights are slightly mishapen so its hard to hit a bird past 20 yards with it, also (this was a manufactoring error) the rail that the scope gos on was crooked but gander mountians gun smith fixed it for free and now it works great!!
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product.Mine came without a scope, and I would like to have one. I don't want to spend allot of money but want something decent. What would you recommend and does Walmart sell them? Thanks, Jack.
asked JackI haven't seen this model at Walmart, but this gun is quite powerful and accurate. I have had multiple "expencive" guns with more power but this one seems to be the best bang for your Buck-
Lucas from USAIs this gun smooth bore or rifled?

timCan i shoot this in my back yard with out the cops coming
asked LeviI shoot mine in my back yard and have not had any issues. Its pretty loud for a pellet gun, but for the price it is a pretty nice gun. The scope is pretty weak and moves around a little but the gun is nice.
Kerry from USAis it reliable?
asked steveis the scope good
asked danielThe scope on this gun sights and shoots well. The problem is that the rings do not hold well on the dovetail. There is a fair amount of recoil on this gun which leads to movement of the scope. I installed a dovetail to weaver adapter which solved the problem. This is the only issue I have had. Overall a hard hitting accurate gun.
Kerry from USAcan you take the scope off this gun
asked adenYou can just choose not to install the scope as it is not attached when shipped. It takes about a minute to put on. If you choose to not install the scope, or install it and decide to remove it, the sights that remain are adjustable. The rifle comes with the scope, the rings, and an Allen wrench. The Rifle sights or "Iron Sights" (they're not actually made of iron :)) work well, and have a Fiber Optic quality to them making them easy to see. This is a good rifle, especially for under 100 bucks.

Scott from USAhello im looking to buy this gun but i have a few questions. My first question is how heavy is it to break the barrel? Also, how many yards can it shoot? Please answer me back thanks.
asked Nickabout 26.9 psi to cock the rifle, very deadly and accurate out to 60 + yards, with elevation you can shoot out to 80 or beyond with aluminum pellets. It will still kill a small bird at 80 + yards but not a rabbit or squirrel at that distance. For hunting around 50 yards it's deadly accurate and will kill any rabbit or squirrel. Get this rifle you wont be disappointed to say the least. Happy hunting! I hope this helps!
wayne rhodesWhat is the cocking weight of this gun?
asked TeddyHow big is this gun so I can get a case for it?
asked Kaleb from USALength 44.5in. 6.2 lbs. Case should be around 10"x50" ( room for scope)
Steve from USAIs this a single shot rifle?
asked LoydYes. It in order to shoot the gun, you have to break the barrel, cock it until it clicks, then load the pellet, and return the barrel to the original position. Then you are ready to fire.
Conor from USAWhat is the effective range of this air rifle?
asked Pranaya KumarIt could take a chipmunk sized animal up to a maximum range of about 50yds.
Conor from USACan you use BB's and pellets for guns?
asked Peter JannottaNo, this only shoot .177 or 4.5mm pellets. BB's will NOT work in this rifle.
Conor from USAwhat pellets should i get for this?
asked jack healyI would get lead pellets. I would look at Beeman, RWS, Stoeger and Benjamin pellets.
Scott from USAIs this a rifled or a smooth bore gun?
asked ReneshThis is a rifled gun.
Conor from USACan this gun kill small game in one shot to the mid section/stomach?
asked JakeHello, This gun could easily kill small game if you shoot them within 20-25 yards.
Scott from USAhow many lb.presser to load
asked DanThe cocking effort on the phantom varies a bit between 20-30 lbs.
Scott from USAIs this air gun reliable and good for pest hunting? Is it good for the money? And what ammunition is most effective?
asked Devon from USAThis is a nice reliable airgun. for hunting, a 22 caliber is usually a bit better but if you are only hunting small game, this will be perfectly fine. As far as pellets, I recommend hollow point shots.
Scott from USADoes this rifle come with scope mounts, or is it only the model with the scope included?
asked JesusWhat I think you are asking is does the rifle have the mounts or do you have to buy the scoped version to get the mounts? The rifle has 11mm dovetail grooves. If you buy the version w/o a scope, you must buy a 11mm dovetail mount for your scope. I recommend a single piece mount for the Phantom. If you buy the version with a scope, it is complete.
Joe from USAIt come with the rifle, scope, and scope mounts
Steve from USA
Hard shooting rifle but has a little kick that can cause you to miss a little. Scope is ok but plan on replacing. Overall really nice rifle that will shoot as good as a much higher prices rifle.
