First, I bought it new with no scope 2 years ago. I have since added a scope and it's very accurate. It's a great shooter and solid built.

I have owned my Quest over 3 yrs.and it is still accurate and powerful. I put in a grt. trigger, but have since learned an easy and cheap way to fix trigger.Other than that have done nothing to this gun. I always use Crosman pellets and my favorite is the Destroyer but all of Crosman Pellets are the best there is for price.I have not shot an animal larger than a Chipmunk and it did a great job on that. I own several air guns and this is top shelf.

I bought a refurbished version of this rifle and I was pleased with the power but the accuracy was horrible. I could not get a single straight shot.

I had mine for two years and it was very good. Great power and accuracy. Good for killing birds. After that it just did not shoot. When I cocked it, it took very little effort, and then it barely shot. It was good while it lasted, but if I would probably not get the refurb.

I live in a place that I can't use it as often as I like to.
I am on here because I am buying my 2nd quest. My step daughter knocked mine down a flight of stairs, it was a sad day. With it I eliminated over 60+ ground squirrels, 10+ regular ones, 3 groundhogs, and 4 raccoons. It had a heavy trigger pull but I tighten the heck out of the scope rings, and now I don't have a problem.

I just moved into a new neighborhood with a nice back yard where there is plenty of room for plinking around or shooting small game. After the initial set up, it shoots very well. The scope took about 20 rounds to site in. I was shocked when I went to change out the target and saw that the rounds had went clean through an old piece of 1inch lumber. I can now tell you it will go through 2 inches of wood from 30 - 40 yards. Open sights are spot on as well. It did shoot too far to the left out of the box. The initial cock is pretty stiff, I smacked it with a rubber hammer and ever since it takes a tap with the hand. I'm sure with time it will wear in.

asked mickone joule is equal to one newton meter or one watt second, and equals approximately 0.73756 foot pounds. The Quest has about 12 to 14 FPE.. So yes it has more than one joule. Best of luck.

asked geneIt's extremely easy to cock, I don't think you'll find any other brands that are easier. Cocking effort starts off at about 3lbs, then at half travel is about 11lbs, then peaks at 26lbs. They vary tho, my easiest to cock Crosman (G1 with same power) peaks at only 21lbs. They are also very efficient so you get exceptional power for the cocking effort put in, again I don't think any other gun can beat it.

asked Jose from USAThis gun is on the edge for rabbits- but it can take large ground squirrels in WI with vital shots so i'd say rabbits are ok. I would not shoot unless you have confidence in your ability to hit a vital spot- id go for a headshot

CARLES from USAGreat pellet rifle. When we received the gun my son and I went outside and sighted in the scope at 75ft. The target we were using was one inch thick wood. The pointed pellets we were using easily went through and through and were hitting trees another 150 yards behind the target. First time out my son shot and killed his first squirrel with one shot. Since then he has killed a squirrel with one shot every time he has hit it. The scope that came with it was very nice as well. The scope came almost perfectly sighted, only had one click right and one up to make it perfect. My son loves it and all his buddies are jealous.

asked BrandonIt's the same power as the 1200fps guns, they just say 1000 here because they want to sell people the more expensive guns. Either gun can shoot light alloy pellets around 1200, and light to mid weight lead pellets at 1000fps. Basically the only guns that have more power are magnums. So yes, great gun for small game; rabbits and crows or smaller. Many people complain about the scope, but they work great for me, however I do recommend you adjust the parallax first. For the price you cannot beat this gun anywhere, even guns twice the price are equal or only slightly better. The trigger is another complaint people have, but it is easily fixed with either a home tune or buying an aftermarket trigger.

I own several center and rimfire rifles and hunt deer, dove, pheasant, and squirel. I ordered this for backyard shooting fun- For 79.90 it's the best deal on the internet hands down. I cannot justify parting with 120 plus for an air gun because I'd have to get another .22 or .17 hmr if I was going to spend any more money. If you're wanting to shoot squirel's and Chipmunks, here's a good tool for it. I love to grill or pan fry the squirrel hind legs (not enough meat on the front to fool with) with some butter, pepper, and garlic .
PeanutterAs a South African, we donot have chipmunks, and the squirrels are a protected species. I have found that the Crosman quest compares very well to my .22 rimfire using sub-sonic hollow points, and both these weapons can be used to hunt any small game, but the range is limited to below 80 meters. A noise reducer (silencer) would help, as this air rifle is quiet loud.

asked jared Kwhat that means is that you push down the barrel(break barrel) and then you can load in one bb thats why its single shot cpacity. I like that cause if you had like a clip or magazine then if it gets broken your basically screwed. excuse my english Im still learning.
HavierWhat you do to cock the gun is to grap the stock and and the barrle then pull the barrle down then plase a pellet into it put it back up and shoot.
