I love it
I bought the Recruit because it has better FPS than comparable guns and the 5 pellet clip. I shoot pellets only, they are heavier than BB's and therefore hit harder. The clip works great and is faster than loading a pellet in the gun one at a time. And the pellets go in straight not cocked. Easy to pump, I shoot at 5 pumps most of the time and it has good power. I shoot tin cans and use Crosman 10.5 grain pellets, they hit harder than the more common 7.7 grain pellets.
Bought this for my son for Christmas, but after trying it I wish I had spent more money. It is OK for the price, but the trigger makes it almost impossible to shoot accurately.
Pros
Adjustable stock
Cons
Trigger
Not very powerful or accurate. I would go with a more expensive higher quality model from Crosman next time.
Pros
Not much
Cons
Not accurate or powerful. Doesn't load well, must tip gun upside down at an angle while holding the loading lever fully back, awkward.
My first Bb gun which is perfect for beginners. Shoots very accurately
very nice gun but not for anyone under 4,9inch because its is a pretty big BB gun
You've got to be kidding me? I bought two guns for my kids at Christmas.
They're great!!! I mean come on?!? These guns are dirt cheap and they perform like my break-barrel rifle. The scope took a little work but other than that I'm fully satisfied. I bought the indoor target trap and I highly suggest you buy the pair. Lots of indoor shootin' fun!!!!! I would definitely recommend this gun for beginners or anyone else looking for some plinking fun!
I love it the adjustable stock helps you grow with it the gun. The scope is good for moderate range hunting and target shooting. I loved it so much i bought my son one and we shoot targets and small animals.
First BB/Pellet Gun. Out of the box the first pellet got jammed, but once unjammed, the gun shot great. At 35 Yards, hit 6 inch target every time after 1 shot for dial in. Accurate, fun, and easy to work with for a novice like myself. Plus for 49.99 from a large competitor store that doesn't list it on their website, you can't beat the price. I'd recommend it to anyone just looking for fun and decent power. If you're looking to kill things bigger than a squirrel, it might not be the right pellet gun for you. But then again, if you want to hunt game, get a real gun. This thing is a lot of fun and great value out of the box.

Great for plinking and also very good for introducing firearms to someone new.
Pros
I have owed it for about 10 years. It is a perfect gun for slimming down the population of squirrels/chipmunks/gophers (ground squirrels). Plenty of power for close shots (50 feet or less) as a pump should be. As with all firearms it takes practice to get better at hitting your target where you want to. BBs for the chipmunks and reds. Pellets for the gophers and grays. I don't use the scope so I don't have any input for it. With me being 6' 11" it is a little small but most things are. Still it works great and a bargain for the price.
Cons
Not all .177 pellets are made the same. A few got lodged halfway down the barrel. Once I found the pellets that were of a higher quality I have had zero issues.
