Like to hunt? If so, the Gamo Big Cat .25-caliber gun is made for you. Unlike many other Gamo rifles, this one comes with fiber optic sights. Sometimes, a scope just isn't useful, as you can more quickly acquire your quarry with open sights. Gamo's Shock Wave Absorber (SWA) removes most of the felt recoil. That's pretty important if you spend hours shooting your air rifle. The SWA absorbs up to 74% of the recoil that used to be sent to your shoulder! Lots of people used to buy an aftermarket trigger to replace the Gamo factory trigger, which wasn't always very crisp. However, the Smooth Action Trigger (SAT) changes all that. It's crisp, adjustable and has a predictable let-off. When you put it all together, the Gamo Big Cat in .25 caliber combines lots of nice features into a powerful rifle that will probably end up being your go-to hunting air gun.

I have a dumb question how can you review this air rifle if you don't even own one the guy in the review give it three stars and he said I'd like to own this rifle what the hell lol

asked Tim from USA

Is it 800fps with lead our alloy pellets

asked Kirsten from USA

Yes that is with Gamo PBA, platinum i believe which weigh even less than the PBA raptors. The real issue with this is that i have never been able to find a place to purchase .25 PBA platinums. So if you are wondering how much energy is being put out go to the Gamo website or just look at the cocking force and you will see it is the same as a Big Cat and the only real advantage i can see is that you get the advantage of a heavier pellet and it will carry more energy downrange plus you get a wider wound channel. The .25 PBA raptor ammo i purchased was pretty low quality compared to the same type in .177 so i doubt any gun using this ammo at over 25yds is going to be much use hunting. If cocking force is the issue i would pick something similar in .22, good luck.

Michael from USA

FPS numbers are always with alloy pellets unless stated otherwise.

DAVID from USA

As with many if not all Gamo rifles, the FPS is very overrated, and the velocities they post are usually with alloy pellets which of course are very unstable and don't give you consistent groupings.

Fabian from USA

alloy pellets i just bought the gun looking forward to it

richard from USA

It says in the picture, on the barrel 800 fps with pba (alloy)

Doug

Its actually with alloy pellets, with lead between 20 -26 grains you"ll get about 600 to 700 fps depending on the pellet.
