There were no problems whatsoever to ship this rifle to Sweden. Really fast delivery and customs didn't even look twice.
Pros
The rifle is heavy compared to most air rifles so it actually feels great to shoot. Its quite possibly the greatest thing I've ever bought. Five out of five would buy again
Cons
Maybe ask Gletcher to make the instructions a bit more detailed. As a non-american I dont really understand how guns operate but trial and error works too.
The Soviets made these rifles in such amazing quantities that there are still stockpiles, and recent conscripts are photographed carrying the 1944 weapons! I guess they are still a very good training rifle, but let us all pray for them when NATO rolls by!
Pros
My favorite replica battle rifle!
Cons
Produce a rifled barrel with pellets for amazing accuracy!
Very accurate rifle can hit cans at 20yds 16 out of 16 hits.
I contacted the Manufacturer (SMG) and asked There are numerous sites as well as reviews that mention a production of only 200 world-wide. Can you confirm that this is a true statement?. This is the response. "The fact is that Gletcher actually had been to produce only 200 of the 1944 model, but due to its popularity we decided to produce more. We've never officially announced this limited edition, but the media became aware of our plans somehow and still use it for advertising. We suggest checking Gletcher website as a source of reliable information about our brand. Sincerely, SMG Customer Service Team Email: [email protected] Web: www.smgoutdoor.com Phone: 877-969-0909"
Cons
Not Limited Edition of 200 as stated on the website.
Really nice rifle! That old saying "you get what you pay for" is so true. This is truly a collectible rifle. Very accurate too! The fit and finish is very good. The bolt works smoothly and the trigger pull is crisp. I also have the Nagant revolver, it also is high quality. I have several co2 guns, Gletcher products a among the best.
Pros
Looks shoots and feels like a $300.00 gun.
Cons
A rifled barrel in pellet version be an added plus.
I saved my dough for this for a while because, let's be honest, she's not cheap. But from the moment it arrived it has been the premier piece in my 18+ piece collection. The quality of the imitation wood stock is incredible, the weight is nigh on perfect, and don't get me started on the bayonet!!! Lets just say it works as the drywall in my basement will easily attest to (c'mon guys, I HAD to try it at least once, lol).
For a good while I considered mounting a scope to this. It can be done by removing the rear sight, and inserting a specially made picatinny rail available elsewhere but it's utterly pointless. In fact, I'd go so far as to call it criminal. Once you get used to the sights, this thing is so accurate at 10 meters it's ridiculous. The furthest I've been able to shoot it so far is 15 meters because that's all the distance my basement range allows, and I still put 5 of 6 shots in the center of one of those color-changey targets (not sure if I can name brands here or not). The 6th shot was just left and I attribute that to a bit of trigger jerk, otherwise it would have gone 6 for 6 with standard sights.
I can't possibly recommend this gun enough. If you can only own one long gun, regardless of the MP4 knock-offs out there, this is the one you want. You wont bring down any bison but you also won't exactly mind. Every time I pop off a few BBs and see the center of that target all mangled to heck and back I grin like a kid who stole the last cookie out of the jar without getting busted. Don't lie, you know that look, lol.
Pros
HIGHEST QUALITY
ACCURATE
REALISTIC
IT. HAS. A. BAYO-FREAKIN-NET
Cons
I gave this a LOT of thought because I want to be honest. The only con I can think of, TRULY, is that very few, if any, of the aftermarket Mosin products will fit. I tried the aftermarket rubber buttstock and it was close enough to make me spend an hour trying to modify it to work but not so close as to make it possible. Little things like that, while petty, would add to the overall wow factor of the gun and be "nice to haves", but barring that one, minor detail, there isn't a thing I'd change on this gun. Heck, I wouldn't even add a real wooden stock because, frankly, it's unnecessary.
This rifle is truly exceptional. It offers the weight of the real version while near replicating every other aspect of the real version which is possible to do. The bolt and bayonet work just like the real firearm. Even the 'fake' work, which is actually plastic, is extraordinarily realistic visually and texturally. Additionally, the time period accurate sling just tops off the package. However, near the bayonet, there is some rust building, but I am willing to overlook this; rust is bound to happen eventually. It can be prevented by lightly oiling the barrel with air gun oil.
Pros
Realistic and Physically Accurate
Bayonet
Interchangeable Magazines
Heavy, Solid Feeling
Sling
Working Bolt
Cons
Expensive
Prone to Rust
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. In the specs it says it uses "Pellets" as ammo but goes on to say it is a smooth bore and mentions BB's all over the rest of the specs. Is this a BB gun or a Pellet gun?
asked William from CanadaBB only.
Adam from USACan you remove the bolt.
asked Joseyep, squeezing the trigger while sliding it back just like the real thing.

asked Rodney from USAhi im thinking of buying this airgun but i live in denmark and there are many rules about knives in denmark and i know this gun has a bayonet on it, i saw some pictures of the bayonet to see if it was pointy but im still not sure if it would be seen as af knife or just a piece of metal and what will happen if the security people would do to it if they saw it as a weapon. PS sorry bad english
asked martinIt is more blunt then sharp I'm not sure what they would think about it.
Carrie from USA
