If you've loved your standard 850 AirMagnum, get ready to fall in love all over again. This exclusive import to Airgun Depot features a handcrafted beech Minelli stock with checkered grip. The stock features a perfectly raised elevated comb that makes shooting a delight. The shorter carbine length including a muzzle break on a 1/2" UNF thread, perfectly set up for mounting a suppressor. This Carbine Hammerli does not have fixed sights so you'll need to slap on your favorite scope using the standard dovetail top rail. And is powered by two standard 12g CO2 cartridges (expect to get around 120 shots before needing to exchange CO2 cartridges).
The rest of the Beech Hammerli 850 Carbine is the 850 you know and love. 8 pellet rotary mag, smooth cycling cock-on-open bolt design, and a well placed auto safety that your thumb will instinctively hit for quick follow-up shots downrange. don't let the shorter length of this carbine version fool you either. Though the fps is slower than the standard 850, the accuracy is spot on and highly recommended to discerning shooters that want high accuracy as well as beautiful craftsmanship and precision.

Well built and accurate.
Pros
Quite and accurate.
Cons
None
It took awhile but finally some one recognized a unpolished gem hiding in the Hammerli 850 and decided to bring it to life! This marriage of the handcrafted beech Minelli stock and the 850 action creates a true master piece! And yes, it shoots just as good as it looks! Hope the minds behind this one look to add similar improvements to other models.
Pros
Looks like a artist master piece! Shoots just as good as it looks. The included 12g adapter is a nice choice for this gun and in my opinion it add a little more matching "bling" to the customized look.
Cons
Would be nice to include a listing of compatible suppressors.
Well made rifle, design is excellent. I use RWS or JSB domed pellets , feed and loading has been
perfect with these pellets. No jams. When cycling bolt, make sure you bring it back all the way to
ensure rifle is cocked, If it wants to spring forward you havent got it cocked yet. The bolt is a little
stiff but it should smooth out with use. Load mags by pushing in until oring catches pellet around waist
Wanted something to get my wife interested in airgun shooting, she was put off by having to cock the break barrels every time and pcp's are not an option. This gun is just right! It's accurate - she shot a same hole ragged group with it at fifteen yds first time out - and it handles well, being a lightweight carbine. While not super powerful, the co2 lasts long enough to keep her interest, without the hassles of tanks or too much wasted gas, getting about 80 good quality shots from the two co2 cartridges, and about 40 from one,and even as it's running low on power it's still shooting down the middle. And it's just one of the coolest looking guns out there with the Minelli stock and short barrel! It's just plain fun to shoot!
Pros
lightweight,good looking,fun
Cons
none. buy it.
this rifle is a pleasure to shoot, can use in backyard with silencer, very accurate, not too crazy about plastic stock but for the price I'll takebit
Pros
good quality, fun to shoot, not too loud with silencer
Cons
plastic stock
I bought the Hammerli 850 .22 and I absolutely love shooting this gun. I researched different options for days and settled on this one because there's no cocking or pumping required. I feel shooting targets should be enjoyable and not a workout. And being in Louisiana where it's often warm and moist the least amount of effort required to shoot the better. This gun is accurate and is a breeze to shoot. Out of the box the sights are perfect. At 30 yards I'm knocking down the rat on the run - https://www.airgundepot.com/air-venturi-rat-on-the-run-target.html (awesome target BTW) a good bit and rarely miss the rat when not hitting dead center. This may not sound impressive on the surface but at 30 yards that sweet spot is merely a blur of a yellow dot. Another reason for getting this gun was because it comes with open sights and not a scope. When searching I sought out guns that had open sights because I think there's more challenge to it. I've shot one air cartridge in 2 shooting sessions so far which yielded plenty enough shots. I used Pelgun oil on the tip and threads of the cartridge when installing it. I shot 130 pellets the first session and didn't want to waste the Co2 so I left the cartridge in the gun. The intention was to shoot the second session the following weekend but that turned into three weekends. The gun fired perfectly for another 50 shots or so until the air loss was getting noticeable. Even then the accuracy was good and it still had enough oomph to knock down that stinkin' rat. Four other family members also shot this gun (novices) and after a few attempts were decent shots. But most importantly they were smiling the whole time and enjoying themselves without breaking a sweat. And to me that's what this is all about.
Airgun Depot was also awesome. The gun shipped extremely fast and arrived before its expected time. UPS didn't show until 8 or so and I was pacing the house anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new toy. I was not let down.
Pros
So far everything. The quality of this gun is outstanding. There's a reason it's been around as long as it has.
No pumping or breaking barrels (perfect - if you're kind of lazy and just want to shoot let the Co2 do the work)
8 shot magazine
Extremely comfortable
Excellent open sights
I bought the Benjamin 400 count pellet assortment and they all shot well
Cons
Being VERY picky I'd have to say loading the pellets into the magazine. You cannot push the pellets in far enough if you've got normal human sized hands. No problem though, I cut a few pieces of a wooden dowel which is perfect to seat the pellets all the way in. Again - this is really really looking for something. It's not a big deal at all. Just know you might need a tool to seat the pellets completely.
With the name Hammerli, I should have expected an accurate rifle, but this thing is crazy! I use targets with ten bulls eyes, so I don't have to change them as often, and after three shots I go to the next one as the pellets are going through the same hole. I mounted a high end scope on it because the gun is more accurate than my eyesight is. All of my other pellet guns are single shot, so having an eight shot clip is really nice. If I had only known how great this gun was, I could have saved a lot of money buying other ones that are more expensive, but not as "user friendly". I did have to modify my pellet trap as the power level was damaging the steel deflector plate. Great gun!
Pros
Everything!
Cons
It makes you look stupid for spending all that money on high end guns.
I purchased this rifle from AGD on 12/11/17 in .177 cal and it shoots almost as straight as a pcp at up to 40 yds. That is amazing considering outside temperature was about 48-52* F. I was hitting close to 1/2 inch ctc consistently at about 60-70 shots until the wind picked up to about 15-26 mph then the pellets started to drift a bit. After the wind died down a little I was getting 1/2 inch ctc again for about 40-45 more shots. Because of its accuracy and consistency you tend to forget you a shooting a co2 gun and not a pcp despite velocities at around 745 FPS with 7.3gr JSB pellets.
The gun feels excellent to hold and aim and you feel you can hit your target at any distance. This gun thinks it is an FX Impact. Just mount a good scope sight in your target at about 35-40 yds wait till outside temperature hits 80-85* F and there is no way you can miss. Only downside is its low 8-9 ft lbs of energy to kill sparrows and chipmunks but probably not squirrels.
When warmer temperatures rise to 80-85*F as it is in the warm months of July and August and light winds I know I can confidently take out sparrows and chipmunks at up to 40 yds with this rifle. All you need to do is stock up on plenty of 88g co2 canisters and fire away and mostly likely you will be bagging pounds of chipmunks and sparrows.
Pros
Excellent aim and shouldering
Lightweight
Accuracy at up to 40 yds with no wind
High consistent velocity and shot count at up 150 shots flying at 700-750 FPS if you wait about a minute between shots
No gun powder residue to clean of barrel
Excellent bang for your buck when compared to shooting gunpowder and ammo
Cons
If only it can House a larger co2 canister so you dont have to change it after about 150-160 shots
Why didnt I discover this sooner
Well made, very accurate. Feels good and shoots nicely.
Pros
Adjustable trigger.
Cons
No iron sights

asked MattAny idea how come this model(carbine wood stock) shoots only 570 fps vs magnum 850 polymer stock @ 754 fps? Thank you!
asked Luke CiulinaruHas any one replaced valve to regular fac. Power? And since the 850 store is no longer tuning the 850 is there anyone out that does tuning if the 850 and that can swap out the valve and maybe the hammer spring and spring guide? Thanks and regards. MR. K. Young , Honolulu, Hi.
asked Kory YoungDo you work on the 850's if so can you install a 16 joulle valve? Can you get the valves if not I will order it. The wood stock 850 you sell is the euro. 7 joule modle. What I would like is a wood stock 850 full power. Can you help me ? Best Regards Mr. Kory Young.
asked Kory youngCan this version still utilize the 88 gram co2 canisters?
asked EricWhat scopes would you recommend for this rifle? Price is of interest.
asked Mark BasgallWhat is the LOP.? THE most important spec. That's almost never listed! !!!!
asked Robert from USAWhat is the recommended setup before using this gun? Oil the barrel? Fricasee the trigger? Adjust the frammistan? One guy suggested pretty much a total disassembly and file and polish. Seemed a bit obsessive. I am shooting in the garage and just need it to live long and prosper, not win the Olympic event. Thanks for any guidance!

asked Carl from USACan this be single loaded or can it only be used with the rotary clip? 4H only allows 1 pellet at a time
asked PaulYou have to use the clip. It is a great gun, I get about 240 accurate shots per co2 tank. It will shoot 1/2 inch groups at 25 yards with JSB exacts 8.44 grain.
Bobby from USAVery interested in this rifle! Please advise the best scope and required mounting hardware I need to get for this rifle. Is the suppressor worth it? Thanks for any and all advice here. Regards, Dave

Roald van from USAHow much does this air rifle weigh? Buying for someone who is not in good health and needs a lighter gun... thanks!
asked RonnySimple question really, but I can't find any answers by searching. So, I'll ask. Around where is the maximum effective range for this gun in .22cal? I'm hoping at least 30-50 yards.
asked AirmanYes 30-50 yards is about what you can expect.

Scott from USAWill is damage the gun if a full tank or partially full tank of CO2 is left in the gun for more than a few days?
asked HarryI've had this gun for 6 years now and I never remove the 88 gram co2 cartridge until it's near the end of its life expectancy. I do not ever leave the chamber pressured which occurs once the bolt is activated. Hope this helps.
Dale HI have never had a problem with leaving the cartridge in for as much as two weeks at a time. Just make sure the seal and the tip of your cartridge are properly lubricated and do not over tighten. I believe removing a cartridge that still contains CO2 might damage the seal by the freezing effect of the escaping gas.
ARTHUR from USAThe instructions make it appear that it isn't a good idea to leave the CO2 in the gun for an extended time. I think they believe it is hard on the seals to leave it pressurized for an extended time. Since I seldom shoot enough at one time to empty a tank I bought the Hammerli Pneuma Extra Air Tank. It allows you to use the smaller CO2 cartridges. But even better, you can remove the extra air tank without losing the CO2. You can't do that with the larger CO2 tanks.
Philip from USAI leave mine charged for weeks at a time with no ill effect. I think that myth was created for safety reasons.
John from USADoes the compensator fit over the front sights? How easy to apply?
asked MikeThe front sight has to be removed. It comes off with a flat head screwdriver. The compensator comes uses set screws (hex) and comes with the wrench. Very easy.
ANDY from USACan you stop safety from engaging after every shot?
asked LeoI can't say for sure but I've been meaning to try. I'm pretty certain it can be done because I saw a Youtube video in which someone was firing without pushing that annoying button. I would say yes, it can be done and no, I haven't yet figured out how.
John from USANot that I've seen without taking the gun apart. It's in a pretty convenient spot though if your hands are big enough and mine are about normal sized as I wear large Mechanix gloves; I have no problems hitting it while griping the stock in a normal fashion. Though admittedly annoying at first, after a while hitting the safety will be practically automatic.

Scott from USAWhat is considered a "long period"? I want to know how long I can leave a Co2 cartridge in without harming the seals. If I plan to use it on daily bases to deal with the invasion of iguanas, may I leave it from one day to another?
asked StevensI have left mine in for two months and it was fine .

Scott from USACan you turn the bolt action gun into a left handed bolt action gun?
asked CORYshort answer, no
Roald van from USAIs this gun automatic or bolt action?
asked coryIt's a bolt action.
Dakota from USADoes the gun work with 12 gram co2 cartriges?
asked MarkYes it does.
Scott from USAAfter you load the Co2 how long will it hold pressure during storage? Or should the Co2 be removed?
asked Kevin MaireIt isn't feasible to remove the CO2 cylinder from the air rifle; the rifle has a mechanism to puncture the CO2 cylinder, and there is no way to re-seal the cylinder. However, long-term storage doesn't seem to be a problem: last week I shot a couple of dozen rounds using a CO2 cylinder that I had installed last Fall, with no perceptible loss of power. Make sure to put a drop of Pellgun oil on the top of the cylinder before putting in your air rifle, and you shouldn't need to worry about bleed-off, even over months of storage. I've been exceptionally pleased with my Hammerli 850 - you'll enjoy this rifle!
DavidThere is no need to remove the Co2 cartridge unless you are going to store the gun for a (very) extended time. I generally get about 250 useful shots out of a 88g container and then remove it. At least 2, sometime 3 months will elapse in that time and I have not noticed any leaking (or decrease) in Co2 pressure whatsoever in that time. I hope this answer is helpful to you. Brad
J Brad from USAHow may pounds does it take to pull the trigger? Let me know the least and max in pounds please.
asked brianTRIGGER PULL MEASURED BY LYMAN ELECTRONIC GAUGE: 1.51 LBS
matthew b.What is the difference between the .22 and the .177
asked Turner.22 is a bigger caliber than the .177 caliber. .177: If you are looking more for target shooting and shooting small pests such as squirrels then the .177 caliber would be the best. The best pellet type for target shooting and small game hunting with this would be match pellets. .22: This is a bigger caliber and is always more powerful, it delivers about 20% more punch. So this would be good for hunting larger pests. Not good for target shooting. To read more about the differences you can follow this link: http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2005/04/differences-between-177-22-and-which.html
Scott from USAAre the Co2 cannisters readily available in Australia
asked Ian RedpathYes Co2 is sold in Australia. You should be able to locate them in any sporting goods store.

Scott from USAWhat is the weight of gun with out scope?
asked RonThe weight of the gun without the scope is 5.65 lbs.
Conor from USAis this a good gun to buy
asked spencerThe Hammerli 850 is a great quality rifle. very hard hitting.
Steve from USAHow loud is this unit? Can you get repeat shots without the noise scaring the pray? It IS accurate though so you shouldn't have to.
asked Robert Jankowskythis is a semi loud rifle. You would not get multiple shots off on prey, most likely.
Scott from USAHow many magazines does the 850 come with in the box?
asked Nicholas from USAIt comes with two magazines
Steve from USAif I buy this .. can be disassembled? you can send it to me in two shipping. because I live in Dominican Republic
asked antonyThank you for you interest. For questions about international ordering/shipping please email us at [email protected]. This so we can better help you.
Steve from USAPlease advise on what scope I can add that is sold by AirGunDepot I assume a compensator is also necessary? May I please have some recomendations?
asked Joseph ValdezSCOPE I Had same question, ordered mine elsewhere. I think you'll get an adequate scope for $50-70. You'll want a 2-7x32mm 1" diameter scope probably, not a 3x7x32mm. 2mm provides a wider field of view. Actually, you probably don't need 7x zoom either. You want a low profile, long "eye relief" scope. This really boils down to 2x at the eyeball for a low profile scope. You want a 1" diameter scope because most scope rings are 1" and might not fit on a 30mm 1.1" scope. IMPORTANT MOUNTING SPECS: The Hammerli 850 C02 .22 has a 3/8" Dovetail mount, not a Weaver or Picatinny mount. The dovetail on the top of the 850 is flat without "notches" to lock the rings. Buying a ring for a scope, you must also know the scopediameter (1" or 30mm). Mounting is easier with two rings because you need to move the rings away from the bolt area while the scope goes over the bolt area. Here are the rings that worked with my 3x7x32mm BugBuster Scope. These rings let the scope sit low enough on the rifle so that you do not need to modify the stock for a higher cheek rest (you need to put your cheek in the same place each time you shoot). 1" Diameter 3/8" Dovetail Low Profile Scope Rings Sold by: Maxsports
Wade from USAA compensator is not necessary. They don't really do much, besides add looks.
Nicholas from USAMy question is this, can you leave the co2 cartridge in this Hammerli 850 co2 Magnum gun without harming the seals, or can you take the co2 cartridge out in between use? I look on the web did not see any info on this. A crosman 1077 co2 gun, the reps said they recommend that you do not do it as it harms the seals over a long period.
asked Dave GThe 850's seals / O-rings are made of Polyurethane and are totally impervious to the negative effects of CO2. Mine has had CO2 in it since 2006 and all the o-rings are still perfect. Roald . www.the850store.com
Roald van from USAI would make the same recommendation as it can harm the seals, this would be the same for any Co2 rifle that has the a full tank left in the gun for long periods.
Steve from USAdoes this gun come with a compensater and scope
asked NickThis rifle kit does not, but we do carry one that does.
Steve from USAHi m question is i want to get this for my dad but what were lookign to shoot is woodpeckers attacking our house. Is this to much?
asked SamThis rifle will work just fine-- but just watch for pass-throughs. I use a multi-pump (Crosman 2289) for most of my shots at close range. A .22 pellet at 4-5 pumps is just fine at 10-15 yards. No damage to house.
ANDY from USANo, this will be perfect!
ConorMy experience has been with squirrels and chipmonks damaging our property. One hollow point pellet will normally remove one of these pests. The effectiveness with woodpeckers would depend on distance. I would estimate that it would be very effective from inside 30 yards.
Frank from USA
Enjoy it, it's a great rifle
Pros
Very nicely designed, balanced and easy to use.
Cons
i's great as is
