Hatsan has lengthened their AT44PA air rifle to give you 100 fps more velocity. And the PA in AT44PA-Long stands for pump action, a unique way in the world of airgunning to cycle and cock the gun instead of a traditional bolt. This makes it easier for quick shooting and follow-up shots when hunting. And the Hatsan AT44PA-10 Long is meant for hunting and pest control...from small to medium-size game (get .25 cal. for medium-size game). The removable tank is another convenience not found in most precharged pneumatiic (PCP) air guns. You can leave all the fill sources at home and simply take an extra filled tank with you. When the first tank runs out of air, unscrew it, screw in the spare filled one and you're good to go for a few more hours. Hatsan tests their guns with lead pellets and not super-light, lead-free pellets so the stated velocities are realistic.

NOTE: If you want to scope this gun without having to remove the rear sight, use high mounts and a scope with an objective lens no larger than 32mm.

This gun is very accurate, it is powerful. The pump action works great and makes shooting the 10 round mag quick. I have been getting 40 strong rounds from one fill. The gun may be considered a little loud by some people but personally I like it,. I have shot about 500 rounds so far, and the gun seems to be well made. The only negative thing I can say about the gun is that it is heavy. I have been using a tripod to shoot and am enjoying it.

I usually try to get good open sight guns as I have critters that usually don't wait around for you to sight them in on scope. I find myself having to point and pull situations. I have 3 hatsan pcp guns. Hatsan usually provides good fiber optic sights. Beyond 30 yds the zero on site is as large as a soup can and at that range I can pump all 10 shots into a relatively tight area, good enough to eliminate tree rats or rabbits. The power is actually a 1 shot kill on anything possum size or less. I commented on this great rifle because I notice that almost all open site Hatsans are being replaced with QE which require scope or similar apparatus to site. If you like open sites then this would be a good choice. This gun has power for 50 yd humane kills so you might go ahead and scope this. I am just giving a heads up to those that like open sights, they are being phased out. This gun loves H&N hunter extremes.

Pros
Strong rifle for the price. Pump action is great and can spoil you.

Cons
You might find yourself using more pellets than you normally would with pump action.

This is a very well make airgun it is dead on target. I put a scope on and I love the airgun. It is a little loud but I put a air stripper on it in25cal. The pump takes a little use to you have to pump it a little hard but the more you use it the better it gets. The air fill probe that came with the airgun would not work leaked air. I got with Hatsan USA and the sent me a new one that work. I do not thank they make a better 25 cal. any better than the Hatsan.

Pros
Nothing love this gun.

Cons
A little loud ,

Love the pump action. Well worth the money.
Very accurate and very hard hitting... I have mainly shot to 25 and 30 yards so far, but able to continuously hit 1/2 inch targets.
Still checking it out for 45 yards and it seems to hold a one inch group... but shooter is not as accurate as this rifle can be...
Lots of fun ... pump action works very well .
I have not checked pellet speed yet. but I do think it shoots pellets faster than my .177 Marauder.

Pros
Pump action is a plus... very fast second shot. Powerful for being .177, would not hesitate taking it squirrel hunting... Yes I do now they recommend .22 for squirrel. But I have taken many with .177 with no problems... being able to keep .50 groups helps in head and lung shots. Very nice looking gun... very well made.

Cons
It is very loud... I would not recommend to use in back yard in town . but I ordered and use a device that muffles the sound to a little louder than a Marauder. (We all know what that device is called) The pellet hitting the steel back stop makes louder noise that gun now... Use of lighter pellets really gives out a bang... even with a sound dampening device.... Use heavy pellets..

Great shooter! Being a PCP is great. No need to break a barrel or use co2 carts. Great shooter with the iron sights. Even better when scope was added!

Pros
10 shot rotary clip. No need to reload after every shot.

Cons
A bit heavy. But I'm a big guy so I can handle it no problem.

Anyone getting into pcp's should start here. Can not get more for your money anywhere as the product is a great gun that hits the mark as well as you can make it. This one is.177 pump action and gets well over 40 accurate shots per fill.

Pros
Fantastic value, accurate and high shot count per fill.

Cons
I prefer Hatsans side lever over the pump action but that is a personal thing as my sons like the pump.

The Hatsan AT441o long in 177 Cal is a very powerful rifle. It is loud so if you shoot heavy pellets and have a good LDC you can quiet it right down. The long air cylinder gives you a lot of shots. It is a little heavy, but is balanced pretty well. Trigger is excellent. I would highly recommend this air rifle.

This is no toy. I've been shooting ten shot groups at 40 yards straight threw 3/4" plywood I can cover with quarter. I know people that have spent twice the money on spring powered rifles that can't produce the results that this gun delivers. Completely satisfied!

asked Walid from USA

Scott from USA

how do I remove the cylinder?

asked Steve

Just twist it. It unscrews easily.

Norman from USA

you remove the air cylinder from the hatsan at-44 pa by grabbing the cylinder under the manometer ( where you are grabbing the metal cylinder itself not the plastic manometer ) and turn it counter clockwise and it will break loose and keep turning it until it is unscrewed all the way(you will know this when you feel no resistance while turning it anymore) and then pull it upwards pulling it through the barrel bands and out. It's that easy I hope I explained this well enough to help you.

Daniel from USA

On a scale of 1 to 10 how loud is this rifle?

asked tim from USA

The .177 is something like a 5 as compared to my AT4410 in .25 caliber, which is far and away the loudest of my seven PCPs. I use ear protection whenever shooting either indoors.

David from USA

Hello. PLEASE is the barrel Lothar Walther ? cordially

asked CARRE

What hand pump would this work with?

asked Lance

Any handpump that can reach 3000 psi (200 bar) should work. Just be sure to have a female foster fitting on the pump side, and a male foster fitting to connect to the hasan air probe. The Hatsan probe is included with the airgun. Also, some teflon tape to wrap around any threaded joints you put together (minimizes leaks) pk

Paul J from USA

I think I might like one of these but have no PPC experience and don't know what pumps/ adapters will work with this gun.

asked DKB

Any pump that can fill to 3000 psi (200 bar) will work with this airgun. This would include hand pumps and scuba/scba compressor units. You can also get scba or scuba tanks fills and refill your airgun from those sources. Foster fittings, like used for paintball fills, are normally the default type of fittings. Just make sure all hoses and fittings are rated for at least the fill pressure of your airgun. PK

Paul J from USA

How do you charge this, I am new to this brand, pump action? I was looking at a marauder, what would you suggest. I have several springers. My beeman mach 12.5 is my go to in .22 cal

asked nick

My purchase of the AT4410 25 cal Pump Action was a happy accident. I thought it was a side bolt but it turned out as described as a pump action where as the fore grip is pulled rearward to cycle each pellet . This takes less effort than a side bolt and enables faster follow up shots. The down side is slings are not as available for this setup also for backyard shooting this gun is a little loud. To charge the AT4410 you must purchase a hand pump or scuba tank with adapter to get the required 2900 psi full charge. Hand pumping is a little tiring. I also own a Benjamin Marauderr22 cal which requires a pump with a foster fitting to charge. It has a shrouded barrel which really suppresses the report. The Marauder's accuracy is decent but the 25 cal Hatsan is much better. Hope this helps, Ron.

Ronald from USA

will a center point 3-9-32 scope fit on the hatsonAT4410

asked david from USA

In a word, yes. I currently have a Leapers 3-12x44 on mine. I initially had the same scope, as you currently are using, installed. But, just to let you know, I did remove the rear sight before I mounted a scope. I am using medium scope rings and didn't want to have to worry about the sight getting in the way without high mounts.

Timothy from USA

Yes a 32 mm objective end is about the maximum you can install and still be able to view the fixed sites but you will need extra high see through ring mounts. Ron

Does this item ship with the Hatsan fill probe for charging? I have a Benjamin pump and I ordered a Air Venturi 1/8 BSSP adapter but I don't know if the standard fill probe is included.

asked Ronald from USA

Yes most any brand comes with one

Wyatt from USA

Yes it is

Wyatt from USA

What hand pump do I need for this gun

asked Derek

How do you pump this gun?

asked andre

This rifle is a PCP, you do not pump it to achieve the power. You use a device similar to a bicycle pump or a scuba cylinder to charge the attached air tank and shoot from the reservoir of compressed air. The pump action on this rifle is to advance the 10 shot magazine and chamber the next pellet and flip the safety to on. Hope this helps to clear your question. Wheelchair Bob

Robert from USA

Is it loud? Would it take down a coyote? If so, at what range? How's its accuracy?

asked Ed

It is loud but can be shrouded. Yes it can easily take down a coyote with a chest shot at 45 yards or a head shot up to about 65 yards. It is extremely accurate. 3/4 inch groups at 40 yards with pellets that the gun likes
