Very accurate and repeatable for shots at 100 yards if you understand the bullet drop and no wind.
I made a shot at 70 yard and placed a shot behind the ear of a 6 pound farrel piglet.
Pros
Nicely built rifle. I like the option of having power setting if I'm taking shots at squirrel under 20 yards or kicking it up to take longer shots.
I didn't like the idea of having the scope on it, but it was included in the package. As it turned out I did like it, but you loose quick acquisition of a target.
Cons
The action of the gas spring discharge valve has a noticeable sound (a "ding" type of sound) that can disturbe other animals, although the pellet gas discharged out the barrel is almost nothing.
If you are stock hunting, I would recommend getting a shoulder strap. The rifle is noticeably heavier the a deer rifle.
I have to admit I only ever have had .177 so this being my first .25. This set up or starter package is very well thought out and has everything to be able to get you out to shoot!(you need to supply .25 ammo/pellets) FYI this package does have some put together or building, nothing extremely hard just wanted to put it out there. gladius, scope, sling, pump, spare seal kit.
Pros
well thought out nicely put together all top notch items A+quality
Cons
building/putting items together might be a turn off for some
The Hatsan Gladius .25 cal came in a plastic hard case, preformed for the rifle and spots for accessories, pellets, spare air cylinder, scope and rings are not pre-mounted. The G6 hand pump had to be assembled fairly easy to figure out, instructions on the pump were vague. Placed the rifle in the vise and leveled out, figured the placement for eye relief and installed rings and leveled scope and mounted.. Set up shoot and see targets at 25 yards to zero the scope, Shooting from bench rest was able to achieve nickel-quarter size groups over and over using H&N Spitzkugel .25 Cal, 24.85 Grains. The targets were placed on hardened aluminum about 1/8" thick it went completely through after 3 hits to the area. The stock is adjustable for length and cheek weld, the 4 magazine holds 9 rounds are all great features. The lever is real smooth, the safety is engaged every time you cock the rifle, fast follow up shots. The Gladius is suppressed, I am real impressed how quite the rifle is, it is a slight Pffft sound, pellet hitting target is way louder then the rifle by far.. The hawk Optic is superb clear glass and great features. The pump works well, it takes about 120 pumps to fill the rifle, so it is a little bit of work, It would be nice if they offered a tank with the combo. It would also be nice to see Hatsan make this available in 357 cal, with a 900 fps velocity. I shot 200 pellets through the rifle.
Pros
Great trigger, accurate setup, great optic, quite.
Cons
hand pump, it would be great for back up.
It would be nice if they offered larger calibers.
