The Hatsan Mod 65 blends the best features from their previous breakbarrels to give you the perfect mix of style and function. You'll appreciate easy cocking and lead pellet speeds and power up to 1100 fps and 18 fpe (.177), 800 fps and 20 fpe (.22), and 700 fps and 23 fpe (.25) for accurate pesting, plinking, and small game hunting.
You'll immediately notice that this air rifle has a beautiful Turkish walnut ambidextrous thumbhole stock with a checkered forearm and pistol grip, plus an adjustable Monte Carlo cheekpiece to give you the repeatable cheek weld you need. You also get a ventilated rubber buttpad for less recoil, and Hatsan's Shock Absorber System that results in even less vibration and recoil for a truly comfortable experience.
The Hatsan Mod 65 gives you a QuietEnergy fully shrouded rifled German steel barrel with an integrated moderator, so your shots will be both accurate and quiet enough to use without bothering the neighbors. You also get a fully adjustable 2 stage Quattro Trigger System with a metal blade that you can adjust for pull and travel to give you the sharp break you want.
This break barrel comes with an Optima 3-9x32 scope and rings that you can put on the 11mm dovetail scope rail grooves on the barrel. You can also use the red fiber optic fixed open front sight and green fiber optic open rear sight that's micro adjustable for elevation and windage.

Pros
Nice While it Lasted.Had the gun for one hour before it failed and returned it the same day as it was delivered.
Fit and finish is good but not overwhelming. Was only able shoot five times before the gun refused to lock when cocking it. Very frustrating. Called Air Gun Depot and they said to send it back, which I did the same day. Going for a full refund and not a replacement.
Cons
Quality control is lacking
Rifle was delivered in mint, beautiful condition. Zero flaws on the wood stock and barrel. Nothing irregular looking about the breech. The fiber optic sites are perfect out of the box. I have the .25 caliber verison using JSB Match Diabolo Exact King domed 25.39 grain.
Pros
Quality vs Price
Cons
I don't think it's possible to get the trigger weight down into single ounces without modifications. Got it to around 2 lbs following Hatsan's recommendations not to over adjust beyond two threads exposed on bolt #3 on the quattro trigger.
Pros
Gun come with big dent on pistol grip and scratched look like it been dropped but other than that gun shoots great
Cons
No change
Appears not to be pellet sensitive. Shoots different weight and design pellets to same point of impact out to 20 yards. Have not had the opportunity yet to shoot at longer distances. Has more recoil than I expected and is somewhat loader than I hoped it would be. However, overall it is a very nice rifle. Suggest if you plan on shooting beyond 20 yards, get a scope that holds zero.
Pros
Very good open sights. Extremely accurate when using the open sights. After about 15 to 20 shots, the cocking mechanism eases up and cocking the gun becomes a simple task. Stock is beautifully made. Trigger adjustments are easy to make.
Cons
The scope is junk. Will not fully focus. Does not hold the crosshairs to same point of impact from shot to shot. Use the open sights and forget the scope. Owners manual is almost as worthless as the scope. Minimal information provided.
Pros
The Hatsan mod. 65 is all I was hoping for. Not as much noise as I expected from a springer. Im getting sub 1 inch groups at 25 yards. Quite good I think for my first springer and about 100 shots of practice.
Cons
The scope leaves much to be desired.
Pros
Beautiful gun.
Cons
Returned the gun the same day I received it. After five shots it would no longer lock in the cocking position. Trigger is very heavy. Gun kicks like a mule and is loud.
