Got this scope for free on a Hatsan FlashpupQE .25 deal. Its really quite nice, and much better than I expected for a free scope.I had to shim the scope a bit to get it zeroed in, but I think that had to do with the rail on the FlashpupQE, and not the scope.
No matter how I mount it just don't fit well. Have to run the settings all the way one direction to get in line.
Nice
The Hatsan Torpedo I purchased, came with this scope as a bonus, Seems to work well with the rifle, but it is made so, so. When I pulled the windge and elevation covers off the indexing plates fell off. I simply had to re glue them back in place. I considered it a free scope so I am not complaining.
Pros
Clear and works well with Hatsan Torpedo
Cons
Cheaply made
I have used these rings with 2 scopes 1 on a springer and 1 on a p.c.p and I just don't see why people think if they don't have 2 screws on the top ring strap they are throw away, I kinda like not having to remove all the additional top ring strap screws if I want to change out scopes on the fly these rings use i screw each to attach to the dove tail mount and I haven'y had a problem yet so i screw on the rings top strap works just fine for me 1/2 the hasssle of taking the scope out of the ring mounts if I had too. Just don't get it if any body wants to really throw them away ,then throw them my way because they work just fine for me ,Maybe not as fancy as having multiple screws all over the rings like some that cost 2-3 times as much or more but I have't found out what if any thing is wrong with them 1 set on a bullboss,no problem and 1 set on a hatsan model 95 spring piston and no problems I use a little dab of blue locktite # 242 thread locker on the dove tail and screw threads and that's it only need a little behind each side of the dovetail ring clamps and a tiny dab on all screw threads let it dry for a full 12 hrs and that's all it takes for me.
Pros
good rings for free
Cons
haven't found any yet
Very easy to sight in, extremely accurate. Mounted on the Hatsan 87 Vortex QE 25 . Extremely pleased for my purposes
Pros
Didn't have to spend a lot for a quality scope. Easy to sight in.
Cons
None so far
Scope so far is good. Typical off shore made scope or good quality. Rings--- Not so much! Poor tolerances cause windage correction to be excessive during bore sighting.
Pros
AO, nice. Multi X, nice, 50mm, lots of light for my aging eyes, nice!! Light weight. Cost effective. Holds zero so far. For the purpose its a fine scope. Its no Leupold but its also not $600!
Cons
Poor rings, plan on replacing them if your windage for zero is way off center. Or mill them for correction. Plan on real weavers or US made parts.
About 90 shots in and so far so good, Scope took only 10 shots to zero in at 35 yards, very happy with that. Clarity is fair to good. Only 4 stars because rings would be better off not included, just throw aways.....
Pros
Good price and clarity, holding up well to my magnum springer....
Cons
Needs a good mount to seal the deal....
This scope has a smooth zoom ring and adjustable objective. At 3 times magnification, it's pretty clear, but as the zoom is increased there is noticeable chromatic distortion around the edge of the lens. Given the price point, this is not unexpected. However the turrets are a major disappointment. They must be adjusted using a coin or screwdriver and both the elevation and windage dials are marked with "Up - Down"... Not "Up - Down" and "Left - Right"... Just "Up - Down". The "mil-dots" aren't true mil-dots and the poorly translated "instructions" make no mention of what zoom setting should be 1:1 as far as mils go. The scope does hold zero very well and the magnification brings your target in close. I just wish the lens quality was a bit better and the turrets were a little nicer. This isn't a high-end scope by any means, but it gets the job done and won't break the bank. It's also not the very cheapest scope so I had higher expectations... I would recommend this with the qualifier of "it's good... FOR THE PRICE". If you like quality glass, get a Hawke, Nikon, or spend some $$$ on a Zeiss. If you're just looking to plink or hunt, this will do fine.
Pros
Price
Smooth zoom and focus adjustments
Cons
Poor lens quality
Poor turret design
Quality control

This Optima 3-12x50 AO scope works very well on my Hatsan .22 Flashpup QE wood stock rifle. It comes with 1" rings and bikini style lens caps. It has a mil dot reticle and the 50mm objective lens lets in a lot of light. It has solid clicks when adjusting windage and elevation.
Pros
Nice mil dot reticle, bright and clear image and very good 3-12 adjustable power.
Cons
None
