Overall a great air rifle! The service from air gun depot was phenomenal. I received my entire order in 4 days remind you it was during the Christmas week.
Pros
Love the power. Very accurate and well made. Im impressed. My first 4 shots were within 1.5 inch pattern and would have been closer I pulled first shot. I would definitely recommend to others.
Cons
Its heavy but manageable! Picatinny rail for scope should have been made separately from the air cylinder band.
Pros
Powerful, accurate and solid! Did I say POWERFUL!!! Received it same week I ordered it. First time firing it had a 1 and 1/2 inch grouping. Very impressive and beast of a weapon. Love it!
Cons
Heavy, loud and picatinny rail couldve been made in the barrel.
Buy lots of ammo. Its hard to.put down when you start
Pros
The things I like is just about everyhing.Power,,,Accuracy,,, style
Cons
The piledriver is a little heavy and loud. But it's bark speaks authority Makes a excellent long range.rifle
Pros
Accurate, low recoil
Cons
Bottle too small, dont like fill probes , but would still purchase again
Pros
Nice looking gun.
Cons
Will not take air. Tried all tricks I know. Air tank is so tight, I cannot get it off of the gun !
My scope along with the rear factory rail mount came off, it was apparent that the screw was only 3 or 4 threads screwed into the base mount. I still love the rifle, does Hatsan make a tank band without the front post for rail mount?
Pros
Great rifle.
Cons
Scope mount rail needs more security fasteners receiver end.
Customer service may take some time to reach back out, but as long as you are friendly and patient you'll have no problems.
If prompted to buy this or the Texan, I would choose this because of it looking great and having a solid build quality.
Pros
Accurate
Hard hitting
Perfect for big game hunting
High pressure bottle is away from user's head (compared to Texan)
Cons
It is quite loud so bring hearing protection or use a moderator
Heavy to carry but great for aiming (the weight is in the back making it easy to maneuver the barrel)
Pros
After finding correct ammo 51cal. I'm shooting a quarter size group at a hundred yards and can use between 235 grain (coyote) to 535 moose bear and other beasties just drop! Really dependable!
Cons
Lighter
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. What is the maximum accurate distance for an average shot?
asked Marion from USAWhat is the weight in 50 cal ?
asked Benjamin ReeseIs the .50 cal gonna be set up to shoot arrows and why not if it isn't
asked William from USAThe Hatsan piledriver and hammer are both .50 BMG not the .50 you are used to. Being that the airbolts are meant for standard .50 cal sizes (.492 to .498) i would doubt that it would seal well enough to fire an air bolt.
kyle from USANo. It's a big bore rifle made to shoot pellets/bullets.
Ryan from USALoading force required?
asked Paul from USAVery easy to load. I have the 45 cal and I use 457 for below 400 grain and 454 for anything over 400 grain
Randy from USA
I wish I had bought the Texan .457 This is a powerful gun but its not a 700ftlb gun. They should advertise its nominal power, not the max power ever achieved in testing, I feel deceived by Hassan. I really want to decock the gun after I fill, before I go hunting. I should have done more research.
Pros
Very strong barrel. Adjustable buttstock.
Cons
Can not be decocked. Has a fill port cover that closes when you fire and only opens when you cock the gun. Does NOT make 700ftlb. 348 grain NSA is producing 533 - 600.
