Even though velocity rates may look the same from brand to brand, that may not always be the case. Hatsan tests this rating using lead pellets, but most competitors use lighter aluminum alloy pellets. What this means for you is that your Hatsan Torpedo 155 Underlever .177 Caliber Air Rifle will deliver more knockdown power than an alloy-tested airgun with the same FPS rating. Hatsan airguns offer specialty features that come standard within the product line to provide shooters with a better shooting experience. Hatsan Unique Features:
Quattro Trigger: Advanced two-stage match trigger only available from Hatsan
TruGlo® Fiber Optics: Microadjustable rear sight and front sight to lend more accuracy to every shot
Triopad® Butt System: Maximum recoil absorption provides added comfort, and three stock spacers allow adjustments for appropriate length of pull.
Shock Absorbtion System
(SAS)
A drop safety interlock device has been incorporated to eliminate the possibility of the airgun accidentally firing if it’s dropped (whether or not the safety is on).

Which brand of pellets give the best velocities and accuracy.

asked Charle

Hi! When you say UNDERLEVER does that mean that lever under the barrel is what cocks the rifle? I have a rifle that the whole barrel breaks down to cock the gun and I don't really care for that. Also what is the total LENGTH of this rifle? Thanks and best regards, HENNY HENDRICKSON

asked KIM

Kim, Yes, "underlever" refers to a lever located under the barrel. This lever is used to cock the rifle. Also, the overall length of the Hatsan Torpedo 155 Underlever is 47.6". The length of the barrel is 17". Please let us know if you have any other questions. Sincerely, Airgun Depot Customer Care

Does this gun break the sound barrier using 6-8 grain pellets?

asked I from

Supersonic is generally a bad thing with pellet rifles. The pellet does not have a stable flight at those speeds, therefore accuracy suffers. A nice heavy pellet and a velocity around 850-900fps is more than enough. If power is what you are craving, might I suggest a .25 or .30 cal.

Evan

Yes. Definitely. Hatsan airguns are tested with average lead pellets, and they do not inflate their velocities. I would suggest using pellets of around 10.5 grains or heavier to stay subsonic.

Dylan

The majority of .177 caliber lead pellets will be around 7-8 grains. This rifle was tested with a standard .177 pellet weighing at 7.9grains.
