Group at 30 yards in a Hatsan at-44 long barrel was larger than a half-dollar, which is unacceptable since that was under perfect conditions, using a bipod.... Cannot risk that kind of poor performance when hunting.
Switched over to JSB Diablo exact kings and the 9 shot group at 30 yards was covered by a dime....no comparison....there is a reason why everyone shoots JSBs in a .25 cal. Maybe these Hatsan pellets work well in guns with low velocities, but I'll be throwing them in the trash as I have no use for such poor accuracy.
Pros
They look like a good pellet....but looks are deceiving....
Cons
Inaccurate
Shoots very well in my Hatsan striker 1000s .25 cal. Great at long range.
Pros
Lighter than most 25 cal. pellets. Still hits hard at long range. Great for springers in the 650fps to 750fps category.
Cons
none
I have a Mod 85 Sniper w/spring pistion that I bought from Air Gun Depot. I have a selection of 10 different brands of 25 cal pellets. The hatsan Vortex Supreme out preform all the others in my gun. I take a standing shot with the rifle braced on a door frame, shooting into my back yard. My targets are blaze orange golf balls placed on the ground at 35 yards.I shoot open sights w/no scope. Those are aprox one inch targets hidden by grass somewhat. I can hit the targets with 9 out of 10 shots. Some shots will be at 40 yards or more after the balls have been hit a few times.
Pros
I like them
Cons
None so far
