Do you hunt? Shoot field target? Plink? Eliminate pesky garden varmints? This is the scope for you. Simplicity is underrated. Sometimes there is no need for bells and whistles. When you need a solid product to do the job you can rely on the Hawke Optics Vantage 4-12x50 AO illuminated rifle scope. This economical scope from Hawke Sport Optics combines many of the features normally found in much pricier scopes. The Hawke Vantage rifle scope series features an upgraded mono-tube chassis for superior strength.

This Hawke Optics scope has an etched glass reticle- which is superior to a wire reticle because it's much more precise. That lets you get even more accuracy from your gun. Another way that etched glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often have a reflection of the illumination in the objective lens which can be distracting when shooting.

the reticle ir wheel is quite heavy to rotate but might loosen up a bit with use.

Pros
great clarity, the AO yardage is spot on for parallax, and a sunshade is available. i couldn't use picatinny mounts on my FLASH QE because the magazine wouldn't quite clear the scope tube. hi UTG mounts are what i use now! the illuminated reticle is superb in low lite hunting.

Cons
nada

The Hawk Vantage is a good budget scope. The large objective lens lets in plenty of light and illuminated cross hairs actually help in low ligh settings. A good bang for the buck.

This is my first Hawke. Mounted on a Hatsan AT44 Long and turned the gun into a very accurate driver. Illumination is nice to have in dark background settings. Had a hard time zeroing but called Hawke and they walked me through my problem. Set it up on Hawke's Chair Gun App ( If you get a Hawke you have to download this app. Good reason to buy a Hawke ) and am able to play with best zeros for the pellets being used. App also permits a range card to be printed which I am using as I get used to the gun. Love the quality (very clear optics), features AND the support I got from Hawke.

Great scope for an air gun

Pros
Like the etched glass reticle. Love the mil dot for shooting distance beyond or less than distance scope zeroed for. Like the illuminated reticle for shooting against dark targets

Cons
None that I can find

This scope is great with the illuminated mil dot I use the mil dot if I choose to shoot anything but my favorite ammo. It allows me to correct my zero without any scope adjustments. The adjustable brightness is the illumination lets you dial up or down the brightness you want

Cons
I cannot find a con with this scope

I mounted this scope on my RWS 54, I havent used the illuminated reticle yet, I am used to regular, non illuminated reticles on my center fire rifles. The Hawke has performed very well so far.

Pros
Pretty good glass, holds zero very well

Cons
wish the adjustable objective was located on the side instead of up front

I mounted this on my Gladius using low profile UTG rings and am very happy. I have zoomed in and out, moved the gun around, shot quite a bit and it seems to be holding zero just fine. This is my first Hawke scope and it seems to be doing a great job.

Pros
Clear, transmits light well, holds zero

Cons
None so far

I was able to zero my airgun with 10 pellets (the old fashion way). I shot the rifle at 10 yards and when I was able to hit a 12"x12" target, I moved to 20 yards. I put round 5 in the bull (1 " diameter) at 20 yards. 4 clicks to tweet and I put rounds 6, 7 and 8 in the bull touching each other. Great clear scope. I am partial to Nikon, but after discussing this with the salesperson at Airgun Depot, I decided on the Hawke. Good salesperson that knows his rifle scopes.

Pros
Very clear and responsive to changes in reticle.

Cons
None.

Optics were great, but a was shooting nutria at night and the illuminated reticle made it difficult to see the nutria. Maybe for larger game it would work better.

Pros
Great optics and the price.

Cons
The glow of the Illuminated reticle makes it difficult to see smaller game.

Long time Hawke Optics scope owner. Came with my Benjamin Discovery PCP, back in 2011. I have forgotten how to change the battery for the lighted reticle. Just twist off the on/off turret?

asked Luke from USA

Is this for a PCP air gun big bore

asked Lucas from USA

Will this scope handle the recoil of the Umerx Hammer

asked martin from USA

I just ordered this scope but i heard its not for springers. Will i need to return it?

asked Jay from USA

Purchased this scope to install on my Gamo Swarm Maxim. With my factory supplied mount scope is all but touching reloading mechanism. What mount would be recommended to move scope to the rear about 1/2 inch? Looking at bullseye?

asked Jon from USA

I have a Bullseye mount. It works flawlessly.

Jay from USA

Look at the Accushot high 1" offset mount.RGPMOFS38-25H4 $15.59

Mark from USA

I am new to this scope. What is that third knob, beside the ones for elevation and the other one for windage? What are those numbers on the scope close to my eyes?

asked Don

what mounting rings do I need to mount on a Gamo urban?
