LanceHello there. Yes this is a god gun for a beginner. All of the spring airsoft pistols that I've bought from Airgundepot are great for beginners. One unique feature that I like about this model is that when it fires the last airsoft pellet the chamber stays open like a real gun would. I have only used mine on targets but I like this gun.
