Legends M712 BB Magazine

Plug in bottom of magazine could not be removed with Allen wrench-apparently stripped-was freewheeling-this happened after about a dozen uses. Called customer service and they sent a replacement that works as designed. Pleased with their response. They also replaced a Tanfoglio Witness 1911 that also gave up the ghost.

I bought this as a replacement for my original that I tightened the co2 cartridge in to tght and stripped the ting beyond repair

After I ordered my extra magazine for the War tribute model, it dawned on me I could order a semi-auto version of the gun for a small additional cost. Two magazines are essential to gain best use and enjoyment. I wish I had thought out the advantage of having a second option shooter as part of the deal.

Expense. The magazine price is 1/3 the cost of the gun? It seems artificially high.

At an advertised 18-round capacity, if you don't have at least one spare you'll spend all your quality time reloading mags instead of doing some heavy duty, full auto plinking. Construction is solid and should be very dependable (I have not yet allowed one to fall to the ground in a combat magazine change, but it should hold up just fine). I do not load mine to the full 18 rounds because the follower tends to hang up in the slot, so I content myself with 16 rounds per magazine. I especially like the feature that allows loading the BBs from the bottom, just above the retracted follower...that makes things a whole lot faster, with WAY fewer BBs rolling all over my basement floor). The first time I tried to load the BBs one-by-one through the ears at the top was a disaster.

Pros
Quality construction. Convenient loading from the bottom. The heft balances the pistol well and "completes" the authentic feel of the gun.

Cons
Price - I'm not at all sure why this costs a full 36% of the comlete gun with one magazine

Good to have more than one.
