Priced right
Pros
Great looks and weight. Feels like a real weapon.
Cons
Super hard trigger pull. Completely reduces accuracy.
It's definitely a good gun to add to your collection
Thank you A.G. for the price point and availability of this gun , also thank you for the very speedy delivery ! Appreciate it very much !
Pros
First off the price point ! , The gun seems to be very well made , it is true copy of original gun. it fits well in my hand and feels good , I like the fact it is mostly metal , the box it comes in is very nice with a little history of the gun. I liked it so much I purchased two of them !
Cons
Nothing I can really think of to tell the truth.
Pros
Has a good weight to it and looks like the real thing. Very pleased.
Cons
Only thing I'd change is making the entire mag come out, not some small portion of it.
Beautiful gun! Nice price! Thanks you guys. Keep up the good work! God bless!
Pros
Hey the plastic grip is beautiful! True to the Russian mcCoy! I love it
Cons
Nothing to change. How can you make the best better? Can't!!
I have a real Makarov. This is a faithful replica. It is a little looser feeling than the real gun, but this has to be expected. Also it is not as accurate as my longer guns, but is a prized part of my collection. The Umarex Legends series by KWC are the best air guns I own.
Pros
Great replica
Cons
A little loose
Opened box and didn't understand it. A heavy steel pistol with a cheapo plastic grip.Upon further analysis I found the gun well designed and built to last except of course the easter egg like plastic grip. If it wasn't for my specialty collection, I might have sent this one back.
Pros
POWER, ACCURACY, HEFT.
Cons
NOISY RATTLE FROM GRIP AND SLIDE. $$$
Nice copy , true to original in lots of ways.
Pros
price
Cons
trigger guard
Not a bad shooter; seems fairly accurate. Reasonably well made, considering the economical price. The slide to frame fit is quite loose - very loose. The gun rattles noticeably if moved at all side-to-side. I wouldn't describe the finish as "flawless," it's a high gloss paint. Mine came out of the box with a chip in the paint right at the muzzle. The grips and the safety are made of plastic, but I suppose that's appropriate as it's a reproduction of a mass-produced Soviet era pistol. All in all, fun to shoot and a bargain. If you enjoy shooting, be sure to purchase some extra magazines and a speed loader. This could be your new favorite target pistol.
Pros
The accuracy of this gun is impressive, especially considering the fixed sights and the looseness of the slide. The heft of the gun adds to its realism. I don't have an original Makarov to compare it to, but from looking at photos it appears to be a darn good copy. Potentially, a good practice pistol for Makarov owners and a great price for a mostly metal construction BB Gun.
Cons
Fit and finish could stand some improvement, but then I suppose the price would have to go up. It'd be nice if the slide catch lever were functional, rather than cast into the frame, but again the cost would likely increase.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. Can the plastic grips replaced by wooden grips?
asked Ronald from USAThe makrov was made with plastic grips but you can get original plastic grips.
Carrie from USAHow do you replace the Co2 can and how long does it laste
asked Conner from USAHow long does the Co2 last?
asked RomeoWhy is the trigger guard hinged?
asked Scott from USAThe trigger guard also acts as the slide release lever. In order to remove the slide, the trigger guard must be pulled down against its spring and positioned slightly to one side.
Scott from USATo emulate the real Makharov Pistol, which has a hinged trigger guard.
Billwhat is metal on the gun
asked johnNo it is all metal
Carrie from USAYes it almost all metal
Luke from USAThe body is plastic, and some of the internal parts are metal.

Umarex has an extensive lineup in the Legend series. I bought this to fill a niche in other historic pistols, and this one doesn't disappoint. It has the weight, feel and appearance of an actual Makarov. If it had an better trigger feel, coupled with its ability to put 90% of the shots in a two inch group at 7 yards, it would easily rate as a 5 star, instead of a 4.5 rating, especially considering the low price.
Pros
* Price is great. *Accuracy is shocking. Out of 180 shots (10 magazines) on a 12g Co2 cylinder, the group measured 4 inches high by 3 inches wide, with 160 of the shots blowing out a ragged hole 2 inches high by 1 1/2 inches wide. Shots were hamd held and braced on a bench, fired from a measured 20 ft distance. * Appearance is clean and nice blued. The only seam visible runs along the bottom of the frame, from the front to the magazine well. The trigger guard and slide are separate parts and have no seam. * Lettering is etched but small and tastefully done with the serial number highlighted in white. Cosmetically, the pistol is attractive and impressive; it could pass for the real thing.
Cons
* Although the slide does pull to the rear, which cocks the hammer, I overlooked that it was non-blowback, which was a disappointment upon firing. However, the Co2 energy that would otherwise operate the slide goes to firing additional shots (10 mags on one cylinder). * Ergonomically, the pistol doesn't as pleasing as a Browning High Power, a P08 Luger, Walther, or Colt 1911, but I imagine Umarex created a faithful reproduction of a Makarov. * Despite the lack of more pleasing contours at the tip of the backstrap and around the trigger guard, it does shoot very well. * Racking the slide isn't necessary to operate the pistol, but it will cock the hammer for the first shot, then all other shots are double action. * The trigger feels like a toy gun and the break is mushy, but as noted, it doesn't seem to hurt accuracy.
