These things hit HARD. When compared to the JSB Diabolos or the Poly Mags, these pellets dominate when it comes to penetration. I shot these at 3/8" plywood at 25 yards and they were flying through whereas the other pellets stopped.
Pros
Penetration is amazing
Cons
Not as accurate at longer ranges
These are a nice alternative to the H&N Hornets. I use these in my Umarex Surge and they are great. Group very well at 25 to 30 yrds.
Pros
Accurate nice weight good alternative to H&N Hornets
Cons
None
I bought two Hatsan 155s in .177 cal about a month back. Needless to say, these rifles deliver the power. Although the FPE wasn't as great as my .25 cal 155, they still hit as hard as about any other gas-piston/spring-piston air rifles made. The Metalmags will not group well enough for me to hunt with. Can't get them under 2 inch groups at 20 yards. To my surprise, these .177 cal 8.5 grain Metalmags WOULD NOT go through a 1/2 inch piece of pine plywood at 10 yards even though they were leaving the muzzle at 1090 FPS. I own many springers in .177, .22, and .25 and this is the ONLY pellet I own in any gun that failed to penetrate the plywood. Most do it out to 25 and some out to 35 yards. I thought it may be because they were, at the time, the lightest pellet I owned, but I bought a tin of 7.4 grain Crosman Premiers as break in pellets, and they even went clean through. I'm not sure if it's the design, but the pellet comes completely apart on impact. These may be better in .22 cal but I was very disappointed in .177. In contrast, the Predator Polymags may be, in my opinion, one of the very best all around hunting pellets made in .22 and .25 cal.
Pros
Not sure.
Cons
Come apart on impact. Will not group in my guns.
In the camera shots I was shooting soft metal
Well built correct balastic coiefiecent, penetration greater than other pellets
Pros
Right weight for best results.
Easier to load that poly times pellets
Cons
Expensive
Sweet pellets I'm going to buy more and I recommend this product.
better and cheaper than ultramag metal tip.
i'am shooting them out of a hatsan supercharger vortex at about 700 fps, their accurate and have better penetration than any other pellet I've tried. much better than the ones with a plastic tip..
Pros
good penatration
Cons
none
