Very powerful and accurate. Scope works well. Learn to sight it in,it's easy.
Pros
Powerful,accurate and good scope.
Cons
Warrenty offered is 30 days on a Refurb. It should be better than that.
THIS pellet gun long as hell sorry about that but it true but it great prize for one of best crosman weight is 6.lb 3.0z with cent point scope the scope is long range scope so steel barrel is rifle for fore send pellet to it targets good gun fore practices or hunt yes hunting it can take out pest like crow /quwhile / racoons hunting point of view better small game lesions 1,200fps you can put down the pest in your yard.
Pros
good and heavy
Cons
need be a little liter
DONT BE FOOLED, THIS IS THE SAME RIFLE AS THE CROSMAN VANTAGE, AND CROSMAN PHANTOM, JUST IN A COOLER STOCK. BOTH ARE GOOD RIFLES FOR THE BUDGET BUYER. WHEN I GOT MY TR77, IT LOOKED AND PERFORMED LIKE BRAND NEW, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON DIFFERENT AMMO, JUST USE CROSMAN DESTROYER 7.9gr AND YOU WILL GET DIME SIZE GROUPS OUT TO 25 YARDS AND 950s ON THE CHRONY AND 15 fpe. NOT BAD FOR $75.00 !!!!!!!
Pros
APPEARANCE, FEEL, POWER, LIGHT WEIGHT, PRICE , EASY TO COCK
Cons
CHEAP SCOPE
I bought this rifle because of the price honestly and I'm very happy I did . Getting 1 inch groups easy at 25 yards with rws Meisterkugeln 8.2gr and it's not broken in yet . Stock is comfortable , balanced and pistol grip helps to keep the rifle centered on target . Not as hold sensitive compared to my other rifles . Looks new . I took mine apart (yes, voiding the warranty) and did a Debur , Honed and re-lubed with some Moly 60 and chamber lube . Seems like not much had to be done as if it was done already . All internal parts looked OK except for the spring which had a slight bend to it but I'm gonna call Crosman to see if they can ship me one although it's not causing any problems . The scope was not so good so I replaced it with a UTG 3-9x40 AO mill dot IR with high mounts. This rifle looks impressive especially at this price . Stock storage is a bonus . Cocking is smooth and not too hard . Not too loud either . It's fine for large backyards just use a good trap .
Pros
The more I shoot this rifle , the more I like it . I believe I mentioned all the pro's in the review section . Not much else to say . Good quality , surprising performance for the price, trust me . If you need a good air rifle and don't have much cash get this one . Very difficult to find a better deal . Just don't blame me if you get this , get hooked on air gunning and spend all your money on this stuff . LOL! With a little work this rifle can be exceptional .
Cons
Plastic washers on the barrel swivel pivot points where the barrel breaks . Trigger needs work . I'm still looking into what washer size is best for the mod as to improve it but not create a dangerous trigger . You can go overboard easily with the washer size making the trigger so sensitive that it will not catch the sear much and could fire by itself or from just jolting the rifle . Scope will not get you far . You will immediately start looking for options and remember , this rifle does not have open sights . You have to immediately clean the barrel . Mine was filthy . Nylon brush came out black like when you clean a powder burner . All the cons can be resolved if you are comfortable with doing the work . Crosman premier HP or mag pellets did not group well for me but RWS pellets did . Kind of weird . With all the cons I still challenge you to find a better deal anywhere .
Not sure what was refurbished on this gun but it looks brand new. I shoot the gun indoors in my 40 foot basement using premier ultra magum lead pellets at 35 feet. If you can get over the long triger pull this gun is very accurate at that distance. The TR77 has a nice look and feel.
Pros
Fast 2 day shipping.
Good pistol grip shooting.
Great price.
Cons
scope
The Quick Specs box says it's a Nitro Piston. The detailed specs says it's a spring mechanism. The one I got is just a regular springer.
I had my heart set on trying a Nitro Piston (gas ram). Thought it was a Nitro Piston when I ordered it, but it's just a steel spring(er).
Anyway, I received the TR77 today, and my first impressions were mixed:
This gun just feels good. My other gun is a Walther Talon Magnum (by Hatsan). The Talon is extremely powerful and accurate, but unbalanced, heavy and a hard to cock. Don't get me wrong, I still love the Talon, but it's all business.
This TR77 is comfortable, light, balanced, easy to cock and almost as powerful as my Talon Magnum. The only drawback is the stock trigger is so bad that the best I could manage was a 5" grouping @ 25 yards.
Since I liked the gun, other than the trigger, and I had seen videos of a simple trigger fix - I decided to keep the gun, void the 30 day warranty and fix the trigger. I used the flat washer method to fix the trigger. Cost about 25 cents and 30 min. of my time. Voila! Now the trigger is as it should be. My groups are now 1" @ 25 yards using Crossman Destroyer EX and Crossman Premier HP. The gun shoots both equally well. The Crossman SSP was not consistent, but the supersonic crack was impressive.
If I want to do serious business, the Talon Magnum is my go to gun, but for light work and fun, the (fixed) TR77 is my new favorite.
Guess my next gun may have to be the TR77 NP.
Pros
The gun just feels good
Good weight and balance.
Pistol grip stock is comfortable.
Cocking effort is light considering the power of the gun.
Powerful. Crossman SSP pellets go supersonic with this TR77.
Trigger can be fixed for $1.
Awesome gun for the money!
Cons
Stock trigger is crap. Accuracy is just about impossible with the stock trigger.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product.Crossman TR77,does it have an adjustable stock ?
asked Richard from USANo, the stock is not adjustable on this model.
Scott from USAIs this another one of those guns that shoots pellets and bbs
asked RamiroPellets only. You could shoot lead BB's, but they're pointless. Pun intended. Steel BB's will probably damage the rifling, and they're hard on the scope for reasons that make sense when you understand how the gun works.
ROBERT from USAno, this gun only shoots pellets
PoopIs this gun got the knockdown power to kill coyotes and foxes and how far can it shoot with alotta knockdown power
asked virginiaShooting anything larger than a rabbit would be unethical and likely cruel. It just doesn't have the power and often doesn't have the accuracy. For Coyote I'd say 22LR or equal powered pcp only, even then it's a bit light
ToddI have 2 of these in .177 (bought them for my boys). They are great guns, they have the power to knock down small game such as Rabbits, Squirrels and small birds. I do not think it would do anything more than scare off a Coyote or Fox. I have found them to be most powerful and accurate at around 20-25 yards. I did swap out the triggers on both guns, made a world of difference.
Gene from USAhi are we able to get this sent through customs in new Zealand and this is dangerous goods thanks

Scott from USAthe only question I have with wanting to get this gun is the scope, most of the time when I get a gun with a scope its not very good so yeah is the scope good
asked jeremyWell, it works, and I use them. They are low quality so just about any other scope is better. Look at it like this; consider the gun is xx $ and the scope free. Try it out, if you don't like the scope then spend $100 or more on a better one. One thing to consider is the parallax, which is set to ~100'. If you shoot targets at 10 yards then you'll have accuracy problems. Most people blame the gun or scope, and often badmouth the gun and return the whole thing, but a simple adjustment that takes a couple minutes could've fixed it. If you get another brand like Gamo it won't change anything. Cheap 4x32 and 3-9 scopes bundled with cheap guns are virtually all the same, and probably come from the same mfg in china regardless of the name on it. But like I said, they do work, so it all depends on your standards. The same gun w/o a scope, if available like say a Vantage, is usually only $5 or $10 less. So at that price I always choose the scope even if I end up never using it. Your next/better scope might break, or your buddy doesn't have a scope at all so you can hook him up with this one.
ROBERT from USAhow powerfull is this
asked alvin lewisUsually around ~15ftlbs +-1 out of the box depending on the defects such as leakage, and ~18 when tuned.
Toddwhere can I get parts my trigger messed up and I took it a part but the back screw that holds the stock on had some sort of plastic on it and the place where it screws in had plastic in it to and it made the bolt strip out and idk about the place where it screws in is stripped out or not
asked billyYou'd have to write me at chevota at hotmail and explain it better, but I can help
ROBERT from USAYou can always get parts directly from Crosman. www.crosman.com
James from USAWhat range do the pellets go?
asked Pataccurately, 30-40 yards, 100 yards max
Ed from New ZealandIs the scope sighted in when you get the gun?
asked FelyxNo, you have to mount it and sight it yourself. It isn't hard and there is plenty of info online if you have questions. Be sure to use the set screw in the rear mount which locks the ring to the gun to prevent the scope/rings from moving aft. Set the focus and if needed parallax to your preferred range and sight it in. You may need to shim the scope as well, shimming is needed when the barrel points a bit down and since the scope can only adjust a small amount you'd need to shim the scope to make it point down as well. shimming is placing material under the scope on the rear mount. Again there's plenty of info online.
ToddNo. It is Shiped unmounted and bubble wrapped.
William from USAhi there, how much and how long would it take to have this delivered to Durban, South Africa (if possible). thx.

Scott from USAIs this more powerful than co2?
asked Mark from USAMore powerful than most CO2 guns yes. I'm sure some of the expensive PCP guns using CO2 can beat it, but in this price range you can't touch the power of this gun.
ROBERT from USAYes, it's more powerful than most any CO2 rifle.
JamesOne part says Nitro Piston powered, another says spring piston powered. Is it Nitro Piston? Also, the cocking effort is not given. What is it?
asked DukeThere are two different models. One is a spring piston, the other is a nitro (gas) piston. This refurbished model is the spring piston.
James from USAJust received one, thinking it was a Nitro Piston, but it's just a spring. This is a seriously powerful gun, just shy of Magnum levels of power, with a moderate cocking effort. The cocking effort is light given the power of the gun.
JamesIt's supposed to be a regular steel coil spring, I guess they made a typo... Maybe they'll see this and fix it. The cocking effort will be the same as all the other Crosman coil guns, about 28lbs when new and drop to about 26 after break in. Sometimes they're a little lower but 28-26 is as high as it should be, if it's any higher you probably have friction issues somewhere and need to lube it.
ROBERT from USA
Bought one that was refurbished. It was very accurate using Gamo Tomahawks. Broke after about 1200 rounds. Parts I needed where unavailable for purchase.
Pros
Accurate and cool looking.
Cons
Pellet picky, lots of vibration, some repair parts are unavailable.
