The gun functions well, is light and easy to cock. You can shoot it all day without wearing out your arm. The rear sight on this gun could be better. The recoil of the gun will loosen the sight in it's mount and cause it to move with every shot. I could find no way to prevent this from happening so I removed the original rear sight and replaced it with a Mendoza diopter rear sight installed on the rear of the receiver. This type of aperture sight works well for me, it is more like the sights on a military rifle, I can shoot it much more accurately now. ... Four stars because of the poorly designed rear sight.
Pros
Lightweight, easy to cock. Accurate with good sights. Lower velocity is good for indoor target shooting.
Cons
The rear sight on my gun had to be elevated excessivly. The recoil of the gun caused the sight to work loose and move around a lot, no way to fix it.
This is a great backyard plinker. Rated at 525fps but the best average I could get on my F1 Chrony was about 460, well short of 525. Nevetheless, it's still very accurate. I hung aluminum cans filled with water at 100ft and I scored hit after hit with the pellet going all the way through. I used crossman premier domed hollow points. Forget the alloy pellets, they are not accurate at all. I gave it four stars because the muzzle velocity was not close to 525.
Pros
Price, accuracy, ease of use.
Cons
Velocity lower than advertised
The rear sights are so bad that I had to raise it over 1/4 of an inch to shoot at only 25 feet. It was so bad out of the box that I did not think it even shot the first pellet.
The rear sight is unstable and moves left to right. If it had a decent sight it would be an excellent gun. I sent a message to Gamo about my concerns and they ignored me. Gamo makes a good gun but not in this case. BEWARE
Pros
not much
Cons
Gamo should not re-sell as refurbished unless they address the issue of why they are returned.
A great little gun man.
It's easy to shoot, load + cock.
I'm 5' 10" ...........................
A little small for me , but the small person would love this one. I'm learning about guns through airguns. I still shoot this .177 @ my garage target setup. Which is a " Powerline 875 " nice indoor trap.
Thank you again ,
great youth rifle ive had it for 5 or 6 years and it still works great. the rifle does seem to lose some of its power over time. but well worth the price i can still kill birds and varmint easily.
Excellent Little gun shoots straight and tight have no complaints from me i would easily recommend to any pro or beginner, took out 4 bottles from 30 yards in the first 5 shots..easy to cock and easy to sight in Excellent for the price..and it looks new..love the barrel how its made...WOW:)
I got this model when I was 6 years old, and I'm now 15. It still works and hasn't lost any power at all. It's just an over all perfect gun, using the fiber optics, it's dead accurate, and is incredibly light. The cocking effort is not to much more then the weight of your arm, and I love it. I never really got into using the scope, and it got lost over the years. I usually shoot at about 45 feet, and it's just completely dead on. I target shoot at acorns and my most recent achievement is shooting a tin can lid, laying flat down (an almost impossible shot) Because the pellet is probably 20 times bigger then the target. Anyway it's a great gun and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have some fun in the back yard shooting targets.
Haven't really hunted with it, as I eat everything I kill and I'm not exactly sure how to skin and cook a squirl.
Looks like new... shoots like new. She was so excited! Thanks for offering this, as I could not find it anywere until I found your store, and what a great price! Thanks...
shoots great and seems to be a well built gun.

Steve from USAI believe that from reading some of the reviews that this air rifle has a metal trigger group. Am I right in assuming this? I have twin daughters who are between petite and average build, this would be a good choice for them as far as a break barrel springer...agree? Thanks for any input or suggestions.
asked gabriel from USAIt has a mid wight pull on the cocking mechanism, but the trigger is pretty smooth. You have to oil it every once in a while, as with all guns (i.e firearms air guns CO2). Also, it has mounts for a scope. I believe it would be a good choice.

I have enjoyed this little plinker immensely, and it is small enough with recoil so low that I can rest the stock directly on my chin. A little unorthodox, but in this position I sight straight down the barrel, it is very stable and if your head moves the rifle moves along with it. Think what you want, but I have surprised some very small game from 50 - 60 ft with this deadly little rifle. I have never liked a scope, it blocks target acquisition. No troubles whatsoever, just like new out of the box and has held up great. Inexpensive fun for any age.
