Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. Can it do small game hunting?
asked RobertReally small game, such as mice and English sparrows, should be fine. Anything larger than that would be sketchy at best.
Thomas from USAYes, I have used this airgun on cape buffalo and it drops them in their tracks. Robert I am kidding. I consider small game rabbits and smaller. But I would consider it a fun air rifle for plinking and target shooting only. It will wound small game. In my book that's a no-no. These low velocity air rifles are accurate and a lot of fun.
gibby
I bought it because Gamo Varmint is extremely loud. It shoots decently enough. I can hit what I'm aiming at (mainly the hind quarters of a large bull elk that's terrorizes my fruit trees at 80 to 100 feet). And I don't have to worry about scaring the neighbors. I'm far too old to worry about tight grouping or any of that nonsense. I don't use the scope, it's worthless. I use a BSA red dot. I suspect that just about anything that only shoots 525 fps will be quiet. The big muzzle brake is more than likely just for show.
Pros
Quiet, reliable.
Cons
cheap scope. phony muzzle brake
