Hi bob
They do have a version of this rifle with iron sights. It is a lighter color wood but it is just called the Remington express break barrel air rifle, I love the color of the stock on the xp express it is rich and the checering is beautiful.

Pros
It
Awesome Gun! It will definitely put a hole through a 2 x 4 and then some. Love it, looks and feels like a real gun, high quality, this definitely not a toy. It will compete closely with a .22 caliber rifle.
Pros
Beautiful Gun. Something to put at the front of your gun case and show off.
Cons
No fixed sights, scope only, It would be nice if there was a version of this top model with fixed sights.

asked GabeI just bought one Remington express XP 177 cal. Very first shot out the box, it went right thru a 1X board at about 5 yards. Every shot after that it has not gone thru....it also seems not as loud as the very first shot.... Any possible explanations why? Thanks for your help. David
asked DavidHi. I was wondering where this rifle was made. In the US?

It’s a shame they discontinued this model , It has a all wood stock with nice checkering , nice blueing on all metal parts ,steel trigger, very crisp and fit and finish is well done and is very light in the field for small game hunting.
Pros
When I purchased this gun on sale for $ 99.99 had no idea what I was getting and after replacing scope with a set of BKL double clamp down rings to fit 11mm dovetail mount and mounting a RWS 3x9x40 scope , seasoned the barrel JSB compound , lubed main spring with a good spring grease , loctite all stock screws this breakbarrel shoots hard and accurate with the correct pellet after a initial break in period . If Airgun Depot still had these on sale I would not hesitate to purchase this product from them ,great company to do business with.
Cons
Lousy scope rings sold with gun , scope is ok but the stock rings must be replaced with a pair of good quality rings . Gun needs a good cleaning and lube when new .
