The ratings are too low... This is the most accurate pellet gun I ever owned... shooting 1" rings at 45 ft. buy extra magazines, loading them takes practice too! There is no fast way to load the mags, thats OK though...just enjoyment in the back yard.

Pros
more than expected, quality,
accurate, easy to shoot.
Cons
slow load magazines.
I got out the SIG Sauer MCX pellet rifle this weekend and was seriously impressed the moment I opened the box! Great heft, great craftsmanship. Everything was met my expectations or higher. I thoroughly read the instruction manual after reading about issues with the magazine and found a little difficulty following the directions from words and only a few pictures. A warning in the instructions say to ensure you only load in the clockwise direction or you will damage the magazine is especially worrisome. Without any markings on the magazine, which way is clockwise? From the back or from the front? Knowing not to force anything, I found that clockwise means from the front of the magazine and had an easy time loading it. The internal belt comes right out and is very well made. I don't see that this belt will ever fail under normal heavy use. More magazines would be a great addition as it does take about 5 minutes to reload the magazine without rushing. I mounted the scope and set a target 10 meters away and started shooting. The first magazine was a distinct disappointment as there was almost nothing I could do to get the vertical adjustment to bring the pellet up to point of aim. I settled on using the second dot down on this mil-dot scope. Horizontal was right on the money right out of the box. On my second magazine, I still couldn't it the 10M target but found my shots well over the top of the paper. Bringing the vertical down again, I could zero the rifle perfectly. This, using the non-lead .177 pellet I think is typically less accurate than its lead big brother. Now, this rifle shoots the non-lead perfectly! Talk of the trigger being poor because it cycles the magazine first seemed almost in error... I do feel the magazine cycling with the trigger pull but on my rifle this was smooth and consistent enough I could cycle the magazine without firing at will. I can focus my attention on firing the rifle at the point the trigger is past the magazine cycling and into actual firing of the rifle. I thought this was a well designed, very fun feature that made springs in the magazine a thing of the past.
Pros
Look, feel, heft... all fantastic! Nice scope too!
Cons
Extra magazines or at least extra internal belts would be a great accessory item.
Very nice and accurate. One CO2 is enough for 200 shots. Want to buy extra magazine.
