One of the best CO2 pistols I have, for the money you can't beat it. I have quite a few CO2 air pistols and the M&P 45 is one of my favorites, shoots very well, hard hitting and one of the most accurate out of the box
pistols I have purchased. Has given no problems at all and gives you at good 80 shots per CO2 cylinder.
Cons
none
It functioned well, but keep in mind it is a throw-away. I shot about 5000 rounds through it, and it started to go south. Out of a rotary clip of 8 pellets it miss fired 2-4 pellets. I called several air gun repair folks and they wouldn't touch it. I called Umerex, they said while it was under the Umerex name they didn't make it, it was made in South-East Asia. I asked what the company name was so I could order parts. They refused to tell me.
Pros
Great replica, actually feels like my M&P powder burner, cheap way to practice. Single action trigger pull feels like a fire arm trigger pull, double action feels like a truck.
Cons
Heavy trigger pull in double action, once it starts to fail, throw it away. I hate the fact that Umerex won't stand behind what they sell. I guess I will recommend to a friend, but with the understanding that you use it and throw it away.
The M&P .45 was my first pistol. Fantastic pistol for starting out; I feel lucky to have chosen it. I was able to teach myself the basics of air gun use and safety with this gun, and still have a quality product once I felt confident shooting it. And I was brutal on it, sometimes shooting several times each day. It must have gone through thousands of shots and thousands of scratches before it was "Honorably Discharged". The cost might as well have been $80-$90. Well done, UX.
Pros
Advantages for newbs like me:
Good weight and feel.
BB/pellet versatility.
Nice Co2 housing design; no grips popping off.
Double/single action.
Fairly consistent accuracy and power for the newcomer.
Cons
Rotary mags were tricky to load and get used to, but my other guns with rotary mags can also be, even after allllll this time.
When the pistol worked, it was great ... really enjoyed it ... nice feel ... good replica of the S&W M&P. But if it breaks, just toss it.
The rear cap seal on the internal valve needs to be replaced as it was not pressed on correctly to begin with. Oddly, it did not show up until a year later. I have contacted 3 pellet gun repair shops and they do not service Umarex, not even Umarex USA will service or even provide parts for this model. They will not even have me send in the part so they can look at it. I cannot repair because there is a brass ring that has to be pressed over the seal to attach the seal to the cap.
Apparently, some of Umarex's models are throwaway if anything goes wrong, unless it is under warranty.
Great pistol, I love the feel and accuracy of this air gun. I had to buy by wife one because she enjoyed mine so much.
This gun is deadly accurate, hard hitting, and feels good in the hand. I got 100 rounds out of the Co2 cylinder. I had only three pellets go about a quarter of an inch out of the center section of my target. About a four inch circle from a standing freehand position, from 25 feet. I'm impressed, for your money you cant beat it. Happy shooting.
Pros
Well made by umarex. I like the total package.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. How can I get some more rotary clips?
asked Gary from USAAt Pyramyd Air : Air Venturi Crow Mag Muzzlebrake... or Walther PPQ & M&P 45...
Mark from USADo I oil anything on the pistol?
asked kawaski JohnsonDoes it really have a rifled barrel as described.
asked Matty B.I just looked down the barrel with a flashlight and it is rifled. yes
paul from USAYes, the barrel on this gun is rifled. It fires .177cal. pellets and 4.5mm BB's. Because the barrel is rifled, I strongly recommend only firing the .177 pellets. Over time round BB's, which do not rotate as they travel down the barrel, have a tendency to erode and smooth-out the rifling. Hope this helps - Chris
christopher from USAWhere can I purchase extra pellet and BB clips for my pistol?
asked Brian HoytYou can get bb clips on amazon, pellet clips here on airgundepot as mentioned above.
Sam from USAThey offer the pellet clips on this site under https://www.airgundepot.com/walther-speed-loader.html (Item #: 8060228) even though this particular item is not mentioned in the compatibility list, also available directly from the umarex website. I don't know where you could get extra black plastic bb clips though.

It is what it is, it’s a inexpensive pistol. It shoots well. It’s easy to load. It would make a nice beginner pistol. But as for a replica Smith & Wesson M&P 45. No thank you. I feel cheated with this purchase. Not from Airgun Depot but from Smith & Wesson.
Pros
It shoots fairly well at close range, 15 feet or closer. It’s easy to load and add CO2. My first session with this pistol I used pointed pellets making sure to seat each pellet. I didn’t have a single incident out of 80 shots. I like the dot sights a great deal.
Cons
I don’t care for the finish of my pistol. The plastic is cheap and has a shiny and dull spots through out its surface. Where it reads Stainless on the left side is stamped deep on one end and barley visible on the other. I used much Ballistol to remove the unevenness but to no avail. To me this makes the entire pistol look cheap. It’s supposed to be a replica. I was expecting more.
