Getting enough of these to be really useful (the more the better, with three minimum, is my recommendation) can cost a significant percentage of the price of the not inexpensive airgun for which they're designed. Six extras, which works well for my purposes, costs about the same as the amount I paid for the entire rifle! If I hadn't had gift certificates to cover the cost, I never would have purchased that many and unfortunately, would have missed out on just how much fun it can be to use rifle with plenty of full magazines on hand. Bite your cheek and buy one or three more than you can afford. ;-)

Pros
Quite nice! A 5-star product with a 3-star price, so 4 stars. 'Love the ability to knock out 8 shots at a time with no more effort than cycling the bolt. It sure beats finding and loading new pellets for every shot. Shooting indoors in the autumn and summer with the AC around 68-70F, I get about three-plus mags per 12gr CO2 cartridge, which has been good enough for me. If I'm off in my count, I can tell when the CO2 is about to go by the first pellet that bounces back out of its shallow hole. The next bouncer will be the last and no escaping gas will be audible when I unscrew the adapter and remove the cartridges. :-) I bought six extras from a number of online sources, but never found even one at a price lower than $29.99 online or off (and believe me, I tried!). I have had a few jams, almost always attributable to poorly made or damaged pellets, but it's nothing I'd consider a deal breaker. Incredibly handy gadget for an exceptional product and the more the better.

Cons
Like their airguns, at least those with which I have experience, these Umarex magazines seem to be very well made. Time will tell, I suppose, but these things are expensive! I'd MUCH rather have them made out of plastic at a cost closer to that of the 'clips' for the Crosman 1077W. The Crosman magazines are priced so affordably, if they don't last, so what? The cost of replacing one or more would be all but insignificant. However, if one of these things gives me any real trouble, I'm going to be every bit of at least thirty dollars worth of upset! I'm very much hoping this turns out to be one of those "you get what you pay for" things, but that's yet to be determined. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, no real problems thus far (after a couple of months) and I'm very much enjoying the extra fun and utility provided by additional, if fairly costly, magazines.
