Pros
Great air gun, very good velocity on it even after 15 shots, light , comfortable and really like the extension for taller ppl.
It goes 340 fps! With 220 grain it goes 300 I believe. Awesome gun for hunting small and medium game up to Whitetail, but I know a guy who killed an elk at 70 yards with a 220 grain and it berely moved 10 feet.
Pros
Great gun
Cons
Doesnt go 300 fps with 170gr arrow
Although this would not be the best option to bring to a gun fight, it looks as tough and scary as any tactical weapon. I found BloodBug broadheads online and 90g CO2 from a veterinarian supply house for a bit over $12 a canister, including shipping. That's a lot of critter control or target shooting on the cheap!
Pros
Minimal up-keep. Just a few drops of silicone oil and O-ring lube keeps things happy !
Cons
I cannot think of one thing.
I got the umarex air saber first and then purchase this one here recently and honestly I really cannot tell you which one I enjoy shooting the most. If you plan on buying this I would expect to get myself a high pressure air bottle and adapter for it for when you target practice, or also purchase the 12 g conversion kit for it I believe you get 11 shots out of a 12 g conversion and those you can buy all day long for cheap. I myself invested in an inexpensive scope to put on it the iron sights are good out to about 25 or 30 yards but this thing can be accurate out further than that. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars was because of the difficulty finding the 88 g and 90 g CO2 cartridges for. I did get my hands on a couple of them but I'm saving them for hunting and I invested in some hot hands to keep the CO2 warm if I'm out in the cold hunting with it.
Pros
It is light and accurate, you can shoot it in your backyard at 20 yards and have a ball.
Cons
The large 88 g and 90 g CO2 cartridges are hard to find
I submitted another comment earlier and as far as I'm concerned you can toss it.
I just watched a video featuring a handmade medieval hunting crossbow reproduction. It was really beautiful, made of bone and horn, with a steel bow, and it featured a 425 lb draw, shooting a 385 grain bolt at 140 fps, giving it only FOURTEEN more FPE than the Air Javelin!!
You learn something new every day.
This co2 bow will hunt!

Mark from USACan you hook this up to a bigger tank. Such as a 90 gram Cartridge and can you convert this from CO2 to regular air powered and run it off a tank.
asked John from USAThe Airjavelin takes the 90gram CO2 carts. We do not know if you can use compressed air. This is a question for Umarex.
Mark from USACO2 cartriges are expensive! Any chance they will soon offer an airbow in air as a propellant? I get that Umarex like with the Hammer, missed the point again here. Air is cheap. CO2 is not. Price is fine, but will it sell?
