Top Benjamin Airguns

Benjamin Airguns are synonymous with high-quality, accurate, affordable airguns.  Benjamin entered and effectively changed forever the US PCP airgun market with the Discovery, followed shortly by the Marauder.  Today, we have more options than ever for awesome Benjamin airguns, so let’s take a look at our top 5 in no particular order.

Benjamin Marauder (all variants)

Benjamin Marauder Semi-Automatic

Without question, the original Benjamin Marauder turned the US Airgun market upside down.  Not only was it an amazing shooter, but it was extremely quiet, setting the bar for airgun quietness to this day.

It came with features that are taken for granted by today’s shooters.  Features like a tuneable hammer spring and fully adjustable match trigger. There was even a port flow restrictor for those who really wanted to fine-tune performance.

Today’s Marauders harness the spirit of the original while improving performance like regulated models, semi-automatic models, and even a tactical version called the Armada.  Beyond a doubt, the Benjamin Marauder was and continues to be an industry-leading airgun.

Benjamin Cayden

Why did we choose the Benjamin Cayden?  It’s simple, really.  In our opinion, it is a throwback to a simpler time for airgunners, but it doesn’t compromise on performance, aesthetics, or accuracy.  It’s also very affordable.

The Cayden sports a gorgeous Turkish Walnut stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and swivel studs. It also features a match trigger, easy-to-use side lever action, and a removable muzzle break that is ½ UNF threaded. It’s ideal for small game hunting and target shooting.

Benjamin Kratos

The Benjamin Kratos takes things to a whole new level. The large air cylinder delivers an impressive shot count.  The smooth side lever, match trigger, and shrouded barrel make for an enjoyable shooting experience.  The Kratos is wrapped in a beautiful Turkish Walnut stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and swivel studs.

Available in .25 caliber, you can really stretch the range with power and accuracy.  Installing the included weaver under the forearm provides a great mounting point for accessories like a bipod. If the Cayden is ideally suited for small game hunting, the .25 caliber Kratos adds medium game and bench shooting to the list.

Benjamin Bulldog

Many years ago, Benjamin wanted to get into the big bore airgun game, and they did so with the Benjamin Bulldog.  Unfortunately, the Bulldog has been eclipsed by newer, more powerful airguns. That was until 2022, when they launched the new Magnum series, adding more power and a threaded muzzle.

Not only have they dramatically improved the .357 with more power, but they’ve added a .45 cal model that’s pushing over 450 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle.  While that may not seem like big numbers these days, when you look at the stature of the Bulldog and the fact that it’s a multi-shot big bore, it gets a lot more impressive.  450 foot pounds is very respectable for most big game that you’re going to meet in the field.

The original .357 was an excellent hunting airgun that dropped deer, hogs, and whatever else folks wanted to take.  The new models have expanded the capabilities, opening up a new age of big game hunting for Benjamin Airgun lovers.

Benjamin Gunnar

Lastly, we’ll look at the top end of the Benjamin line with the Benjamin Gunnar.  The Gunnar is tactical from the ground up. It has an AR Style grip and stock.  There’s a rail for a bi-pod or other accessories that extend under the large, regulated air cylinder.  It has an improved side lever and variable power switch, along with the match trigger and shrouded barrel.

Available in .22 and .25 calibers, it’s ideal for small to medium game hunting and bench shooting.  The regulated air cylinder is adjustable, although you do have to remove the bottle to adjust the reg.  If we had to pick a favorite Benjamin airgun model, it would probably be the Gunnar.  It’s simply a joy to shoot.
