Best springer I have ever owned! This gun is dead nuts!
Pros
Highly accurate , right out of the box. Very easy to shoot. Not hold sensitive at all. Like shooting a pcp.
Cons
Let me see, oh yea NONE!
What a great rifle so accurate right out of the box. Plenty of power for small game . Very very happy with this gun. Quite is not the word, no need for a silencer . It is a little heavy but it is built like a tank. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.
Pros
All good!
Tried two $200ish range gas piston rifles. Both were just 'OK'. Not accurate.Hard cocking. Sub par build quality. The Walther LGV Ultra synthetic .22 cal cost twice as much but is way more than twice as good. Build quality is solid.Barrel lock up feels like a heavy safe door closing. Tight & solid. Bluing is excellent.. Synthetic stock is nicely done & feels solid. Adjusted the open sights & was shooting dime size groups from ten yards ( with 60 year old eyes ) using Crosman 14.3 grain premium ultra magnum pellets. Cocking effort suppose to be 38# but is so smooth it feels lighter. The gun is a little heavy. Will probably be over 10 # with the scope mounted ( UTG 3x9 x40 AO ).
Pros
Excellent quality & overall feel. Head & shoulders over my two previous break barrels ( Benjamin Trail NP2 & Benjamin Trail NP XL). Very little recoil & gun is quite. Accuracy is really good with my limited open sight shooting. Mounted the scope & applied loctite to cure overnite. Think I'll be driving tacks tommorow.
Cons
Gun is heavy but that seems to be the norm with most spring & gas piston air rifles I've researched. The recoil pad could have been cut a little closer to the contours of the rifle butt. Loading the Crosman 14.3 premium ultra magnums was very tight.
A joy to shoot. Got this in .22 liked it so much I also bought the LGU and the Competition Ultra (also in .22).
Pros
Not hold sensitive, shoots many types and brands of pellets accurately, excellent trigger. Smooth firing cycle (a quiet thump). Does 1/4 inch groups at 25 yards using JSB Exact 15.89 gr. domed pellets.
Cons
None.
I just received my Walther LGV Ultra from Airgun Depot. Airgun Depot is the best--they have competitive pricing, they shipped it fast, and it was very well packed. From nose to tail, this is one gorgeous spring piston air rifle. I wanted the synthetic stock because I knew it would handle wear and tear better than wood. If you opt for the synthetic stock version you won't be disappointed. It's very nice looking and has a nice, textured finish. I read elsewhere that the bluing on these Walthers doesn't compete with other rifles from manufacturers like Air Arms, but I totally disagree. The finish is beautiful. Even the manufacturer's box is nice! (That may sound funny, but I've purchased a few pricey spring air pistols which came in such flimsy packaging, that they got trashed in shipment!). I can't wait to try this extremely well-made springer. Thanks, Airgun Depot!
Pros
Fit and finish...extremely well made
Though weighty, it's very comfortable in to hold
Cons
None that I can think of!
I can't figure out why there is not a ton of reviews on this gun. This is the most consistently accurate break-barrel Airgun I have ever shot. I am able to hit ping-pong balls consistently out to 60 yards. The action is amazing with very little recoil/vibration and extremely low noise.
I have well over a thousand shots through this thing and I am loving it. It's so refreshing to pick up your Airgun after several days and know you are going to hit your target on your first shot!
Pros
Amazingly accurate Incredibly smooth firing cycle. Build quality is incredible.
Cons
None so far.
