Long range shooting is more popular today than ever before. And with the advent of the sport growing so much the demand for an air rifle with the same features as popular long range target guns is higher than ever before. Enter the Ataman M2R Tact Type 2. The Type 2 stock design is closely based off that of a very popular precision rifle used by military forces, and long range hunters and target shooters alike the world over. But the M2R Tact Type 2 isn't just a pretty face, this rifle really performs when it comes to accuracy as well as shoot-ability. The M2R stock is made of high quality European hardwood and coated with all weather, non-slip, soft touch finish. The stock features an ambidextrous thumb hole as well as an adjustable cheek riser so it is comfortable for any shooter. Ataman is well-known for high quality, exceptional reliability and cutting-edge technologies. A combination of state-of-the-art production, superior materials, and the legendary expertise of Russian gunsmiths stand behind every Ataman rifle. Please Note: Due to the large barrel diameter, the .357 cal does not have a muzzle brake (recoil compensator) attached to the end.

m2r shoots 1/4" groups at 50yds with air arms 25 cal. 25.4 gr. pellets. I get 52 foot pounds of energy. I shoot squirrel at an average of 35 yds. off a rest and head shoots are a piece of cake. The soft touch type olive stock will let you put your hands anywhere and not slip. Side lever is very smooth and I've never had a miss feed. With a hawk air max scope I'm zero at 35 yds. and from 22 yds. thru 40 yds. does not require any hold over that is a good flat range. this gun feels lighter than my BT 65 but I shoot off of front rest. raccoons and fox watch out

Pros
very light trigger out of the box, did not take long to master

Cons
Fill port and probe, I would like to see a foster type fitting become the standard because I have more than one gun and now a collection of various fill probes also the fill port does not come with any dust or debris cover

Not only does this guy look great and feel great it shoots great very accurate happy with its performance

Pros
This gun is exceptional in its functionality and it being a seven-round repeater(.357) is a must-have and the side cocking lever action is also a great addition last but not least is it's all Olive coating feels great

Cons
(1)Although this gun is a sturdy gun one thing I did not like is the false screws in the stock three of them were loose inbox and when replaced would not tighten down.(2) also the trigger is adjustable but it does not say how in directions.(3) fill port and pressure gauge are at the muzzle end of gun which means you have to point it toward your face in order to monitor the pressure gauge when filling gun. This however I knew prior to buying the gun just something you have to consider before buying
