How this is trap stand up to BBs, is there a ricochet factor that consist after firing into the trap with bbs.
Pros
I had a a similar trap , lasted for years I used pellets in my pistol and rifles.
I never had a ricochet problem.
I no longer have that trap, I am now shooting bbs .
From my 400 ft. per on my co2 pistols to my 800 ft. per on my FX wildcat or even my Browning 22lr. pistol it's no problem for this trap.
Pros
Heavy construction, love the target holder.
Cons
Could be a little larger for 50 ft co2 pistol targets.
Sure makes a gong noise but it's steel for crying out loud. Maybe a bit over priced but I zeroed in at 10 yds with my Benjamin Armada .25 call never dented it worth the cash. Yes as in other reviews one corner was bent but the paint wasn't chipped so that means it was bent and painted like that at the factory. Not shipping.
Pros
Just steel does exactly what it was designed for.
Cons
None
Had one of these for ten years, no air rifle will ever wear it out. It might fade but will last a lifetime outside. Will get extra for different distances. Always wanted two of these anyway.
Pros
The best target trap.
Cons
Other people like them also Watch out.
My property is 33 yds X 100 yds i put the trap in different locations and hights on my property backed up with 2 sheets of 4x4 3/4 " plywood to take care of misses. The clip makes target changes a breeze
Cons
None
This trap works great. Good for multiple ranges and styles of targets. Some reviews consider it a bit loud but seems fine to me. Catches all lead and easy to empty.
Pros
Solid construction, easy to handle. Convenient size.
Cons
None.
I wanted something to hold targets and also to collect the lead pellets, this works very well and has caught all my 'shots'. Very well build perfect for Air Rifle pellets. Some mentioned when the pellets hit it's noisy. I don't have any noise with mine, I just hang my target and it's great! I'm in a neighborhood so I try to be discreet with my 'enjoyment' and this with my Air Rifle doesn't get any better so pleased!!
Pros
Very well built, strong and sturdy.
Cons
None
I've been using these traps for .177 and .22 pellets, along with .22LR rifles and .25 acp pistols; it has handled all quite well. Great in the back yard, or in the National Forest.
To minimize the few errant ricochet pellets and lead spray from higher powered rifles, a simple piece of cardboard folded over a piece of carpet to cover the opening can be clamped at the top of the trap. Then, two small clips at the sides of the cardboard can hold 2 Gamo 5.5" targets side by side; very handy.
I've bought 5 of these traps for family and friends, and they all give them 5 Stars.
I wasted a lot of money on various lighter weight traps that were all soon dented and deformed beyond safe use-form, even from pellet pistols. I should have started out with these Champion Heavy Duty Pellet Traps and saved myself a lot of money, and prevented a lot of close calls from ricochet pellets all over the back yard.
Pros
Handles higher powered pellets and keeps the lead in one place; in the trap. Keeps lead pollution to a minimum.
Cons
Target attachment is a bit awkward if you just use the dangling clip at the top with no backing, but a piece of padded cardboard easily solves that issue.
I got this so I minimize the risk of a ricochet and injuring someone - good for backyard
Pros
good for backyard
sturdy
heavy
Cons
noisy on impact

I use this primarily in the garage at 18” with various air pistols. I always use a cardboard backer. Keeps the pellets in and the target straight. Outside you must use the backer. I set mine on a 4’ ladder and it’s perfect. I use it for bb’s too. Most of the ricochets are from hitting the edges. If you hit the middle they mostly get caught with a 12x12 backer. Definitely use glasses. The shattering bbs work ok but they make too much dust/mess for indoor use. Lead pellets work great. Max target size is 10.5x10.5. Not as loud as I expected based on the reviews. The feedback is actually nice - you know that the projectile fired when you hear it hit. I recommend this trap.
Pros
Solid. Practical. Works as designed. Catches lead pellets well.
Cons
The price but as others have said, “You get what you pay for” A bottom target holder would be nice. I wish is was bigger. Cardboard backers 11”x11” are pretty much required.
