Wow,what a rifle.very well made, shoulders well, great sidelever action and so far very accurate with 44.75 gr polymags ( have to trim the tips to fit the magazine )

Pros
Well made,accurate,looks great

Cons
Pressure gauge in a extremely poor spot, grip isnt big enough for big hands and magazines are cheap plastic and break easy at $50 a piece %$#@&.

Great gun I love it! Plenty of power for larger game. Looks great and shoots great. Leaves a hole in plywood I can fit a finger in.

Pros
Power, accuracy, looks awesome, feels great shouldered.

Cons
Cocking leaver in back of gun, pressure gauge is in a horrible place, adjustable trigger would be nice, a little heavy but not too bad to handle, if it had a larger regulated tank to get at least 1 clip of equal power it would be really awesome but can be done with a regulated buddy bottle.

I put about 20 rounds through it before I sighted it in, then I zeroed it in at 25 yards using a Leupold VX scope. This gun is a tack driver with Kodiak 21.14 gr. holding a group smaller than a dime. My Chrony clocked the Kodiak pellets at an average 925fps with 2500 psi. in the tank.

Pros
(1) Great looking gun. (2) Well made. (3) Extremely accurate.

Cons
(1) It's fairly loud. (2) The manometer gauge is in a pitiful location and obstructed by the trigger rod. (3) The gun gets heavy with a scope & bi-pod attached.

This is a review board for gun owners, people who have experience with above product.

Pros
Great place to review your gun, and inform other potential buyers.

Cons
Totally inappropriate for those who wish to offer an opinion on a gun they do not own, regardless of future intent.

I'm super impressed with many of this brands air rifles
for hunting. Especially the larger bore for taking down med. Size game such as deer. I'm specifically saving upto get myself my first Evanix in .357

Pros
I haven't seen any bad comments or reviews aside from not being able to get them in the full auto versions here in the united states. But even though im looking forward to a semi auto air rifle aswell as the side cocking versions in my own collection.

Cons
None that I know of

Does anyone have a magazine for an old 357 evanix air max .357 caliber? I bought one and it does not have a magazine and I have contacted the manufacturer and they are unavailable. Thanks in advance.

asked Bill from USA

Where can you buy the max ml air rifle?

asked Bruce from USA

Are the Semi-Full Auto version of these available in the US?

asked Arash from USA

Does this rifle have a semi-auto option for the .45 and .50 caliber models? Is there a full-auto option for those larger bores?

asked WILLIAM ARVANCE

Hi, Is it possible to add a rail and bipod/forgrip to the rifle? I've seen some images online but the underside of the rifle and how to connect a weaver/picatinny rail seem to vary. thanks in advance. jay

asked james from USA

What's the longest you can leave the cylinder charge up with air?

asked Carlos

How many foot/pounds in .30? Is there an easy way to upgrade the shroud or make it a bit quieter?

asked Wyatt from USA

Does anyone know the inside diameter of the Evanix Max's shroud? I have a Huggett moderator for my FX Bobcat and need to know if the moderator in interchangeable.

asked Frank from USA

How would I put a bipod on it?

asked Dylan

Does this gun use air cartridges like CO2? Are the cartridges rechargeable? Can they be recharged with an air compressor? If the cartridges are one time and done, I'll have to pass. Thanks!

asked Doug

I have several PCP rifles. My latest is the Air Force Texan .45cal.. I used to go to a sporting goods store and have my 80 cu. ft. carbon fiber tank filled. The problem was, the tank holds 4500 psi, and the dive shops have a hard time filling the tank to that pressure. Most dive tanks (steel) hold 2700 psi, and the aluminum tanks hold 3000 psi. The tank on these rifles takes 300 psi, so you need a higher pressure tank to fill from, or you won't get many full charges on your rifle. Thus, the 4500 psi tanks are the way to go. I ended up buying a compressor that will fill my carbon fiber tank to 4500 psi.. It cost me a few thousand! If your going to go this rout, don't waste your money on one of these "shoe box" compressors. They will go to 4500 psi, but it takes ALL DAY to fill a tank. My compressor is made by Airtex.

Jeanette from USA

it appears that you do not know what a PCP is, and if you do not know what a PCP is you are looking in the wrong section. please google it and read up on the topic. CO2 is a very old concept for air rifles. (more ancient than old.) we all need to start somewhere, and thats ok. but yours needs to be getting informed. then come back and open the wonderful gates of the PCP world :) you will be surprised and shocked but glad at modern innovation! happy shooting

MauJau

No. high pressure air only.

Lawrence from USA

It does not use C02. It is PCP (Pre-Charged Pneumatic). The power source of a PCP is a cylinder of compressed air, a buddy bottle. Every time a shot is taken air is released under pressure from the cylinder by a main firing valve and this propels the pellet down the barrel. Recocking a PCP is usually just a matter of flicking a small bolt. However, when the buddy bottle needs re-charging, you either have to decant air from a divers tank, or pump it in manually with a stirrup pump. Buying all the charging equipment is what makes the PCP an initially more expensive form of airgunning.

A Shopper

Its pneumatic, or PCP (pre-charged pneumatic). Charging requires a hand pump or use of a scuba tank (or equivalent). No CO2 cartridges, not one time and done. You should read up on the PCP style air rifles. I've gone from springers to gas piston, and looking forward, in a couple of months, getting into the PCP world.

Jared from USA

This is a precharge pneumatic which means the air reservoir is filled via a scuba tank or hand pump to very high pressure (up to 3000 psi) so, NO, most air compressors don't go nearly that high pressure. It is very easy however to have a scuba tank refilled at your local dive shop or some fire companies breathable air must be used because it does not contain moisture

timothy from USA

In 25 cal, it states over 900 fps is that with lead or just alloy?

asked hubert becker

it's actually the "weight" of the pellet, being lead or alloy.

ANTHONY from USA

Lead

Lawrence from USA

asked Vitali

Ummmm.....NO! The weight is listed at 8.16 pounds, NOT 5 pounds. HUGE difference!
