FX Crown Barrel & Shroud Kit

I recently recieved my. 30 barrel kit and quickly installed it on my crown. The change from
.25 to .30 was simple and done in 5 minutes ... now to the range

I purchased this barrel and shroud kit to add tomy .25 Crown. I wanted some extra power for Jack rabbits at 100 yards. I got exactly what I wanted. I set my regulator to just under 150 bar. I maxed out the hammer spring, using the instructions posted here at Air Gun Depot's "Definitive Guide to the Fx Crown." Very good, easy to follow instructions. This is a very fine added value service they provide. The performance of the.30 was very good. With 44.75 grain polymags, An average velocity of 870 at 7 feet, with an average fpe of 75, Stdev of 1.7. JSB 44.75's gave me an average velocity of 890 fps, FPE of 78.something, Stdev 2.4. JSB 50.15s gave 854 fps, fpe average of 81.something, Stdev of 6.7. With this tune, I got 43 full power shots. The diabolo JSB's knock down jacks at 100 yards, no problem. I like the 50.15's extra fpe at distance, and they cut the wind better. The polymags were devastating at 55 yards. The .30 barrel gave me exactly what I wanted. power to spare at 100 yards. I'm waiting for slug liners.

Pros
Power and high BC for longer range hunting shots. This may be better for benchrest at 100 yards with the correct barrel liner. We will see.

Cons
You get fewer shots per fill with .30 cal., But still a pretty high shot count of 43 full power.
