I like my Gamo Swarm Magnum multi 10 quick shot magozine break barrel I've owned it for about five months it seems to get stronger every time I clean it I've fired it around 200 times and it will put a pellet through a two by four at 25 yards it is also very accurate I change the scope from the original one to a UTG 3-9x32 true Hunter classic with the mil-dot reticle scope with the TF2+tools free two step 0 locking + resettings zero in at 30 yards
Pros
Very powerful break barrel and it holds true
Cons
Needs to come with upgraded scope with adjustable parallax and the the break barrel stay strong at 50 to 55 pound pull but I personally find that all right just makes me stronger and it is a little hold sensitive but hold at the light in artillery hold perfect
Great Riffle. Lots of power. 10 shot magazine works perfectly. Scope is good. Sighted in and got tight grouping. Great deal.
Pros
Great .22 cal Riffle with a 10 shot magazine
Cons
None
This is a fun plinker that is accurate and powerful enough to use for pest elimination. Good build quality. Buy a few extra magazines so you can keep up the fun when shooting targets.
Only negative is the effort needed to cock the breakbarrel mechanism. It takes some getting used to.
Overall I am very -leased with this rifle.
Pros
1. 10 round magazines
2. Shot counter
3. Powerful
4. Accuracy
5. Fun!
Cons
1. Cocking effort
I bought this rifle for the 10 round mag and it does not disappoint. I suggest shooting about 100 pellet through the gun just to get a feel for it and mainly to break it in. Then buy a better scope one with mil-dots. Ive had this air rifle over 2 months and still have a great time with it, whether small game hunting or plinking.
Pros
10 round mag, very accurate after you break your gun in.
Cons
There are no iron sights. So if your scope breaks then your out of luck. Also even though it has an indicater of how many shots it has left, ive still dry fired it. Just something to keep in mind if you consider buying this beautiful rifle!
Clean it before you do anything else.Shoot 50rds thru it and clean it again! Now you are ready to zero. It's a 2 handed cocker for 58yr old me. I got myself this for x-mas and I am very happy with it. Powerful, accurate, looks cool with 4-16x55 I put on it! I have shot h&n hornets and skenco ultramags have had no jams or issues. It loves gamo rockets. This is like my 5th air rifle and my new go to air rifle.
Pros
uh.....everything for me
Cons
Filthy bore. And more grease to come from cylinder.(hence the second cleaning before zeroing)
So I just really shooting this air rifle on yesterday, shot about 70 pellets in about 1.5~2 hours while zeroing my scope.
I did not use the included scope, for that reason, I saw more things than other buyers.
First of all, this rifle is very good. Still performs different between different kind pellets, but not too far apart. Better than my Crosman Benjamin Trail NP All weather, which was a very pellet specific air rifle........... I zeroed my scope (Aipa Rifle Scope 4-12x50EG Dual Illuminated) by using Gamo Magnum pellet.....not really zeroed, but close enough. When tried some Benjamin Destroyer Pointed Expanding, the shot was not too far off. I was happy to see that result.
It is kind of hard to break the barrel, but after a while, you will start to find it can be slightly easy to be loaded, especially if you do pull down method than push down method.
If you use the included scope, you can stop reading my review now. I have no more to say about. But if you like me want to mound different scope, you will want to read my full review as I went through some thing and realized what I need to buy.
This is the first time I actually lean what a dovetail rail is(the NP trail permanently glued a picatinny rail onto the dovetail, so I did not to worry about anything). I do not know what can a dovetail benefit to a shooter.
1. You need to buy a dovetail to picatinny rail. Be aware that a dovetail is 11 mm (3/8") with curved surface, and the base will convert it to the regular 5/8" (20 mm) picatinny rail. You need this in order to mount your selected scope.
2. You NEED TO BUY A RECOIL STOP FOR DOVETAIL RAIL. Mark my words, you DO NEED to buy one. I did not know the importance until I was shooing on yesterday and felt strange, why the somewhat zeroed scope keep one not being so accurate.....and suddenly noticed!!! My tightly screwed on convert rail almost falling out of my air rifle!!!! The vibration of this air rifle was so strong that it will move your rail backward even if you tightly screwed onto it. You need to buy a recoil stop or use the one on the air rifle in order to stop the movement of your rail. Or you have to find a way to do a pin on the dovetail to stop your picatinny rail.
3. The vibration is very strong, make sure you check your scope screw every each shot. Because....I find my tightly secured screw always got a bit loos after 1 or 2 shots......yes...it kicks that hard.........but you do not quite feel any force on your shoulder. Good for the force damping butt design.
Pros

Cons
See my review
powerful and accurate from 30 yards in
Pros
light, 10 shot clip
Just arrived! First impressions are very positive. I love the stock and how well you can lock into your shoulder with it. This rifle is trigger sensitive so hold it tight. As with any new rifle you have to shoot shoot shoot to break it in! Watch out Iguanas....5 rounds at 35yrs in a dime. I purchased this Magnum for the big IGUANAS at extended range....oh the 10 rd mag.... love it and it really works flawlessly....way to go.
Pros
Very powerful
Accurate
10 rd mag
Stock
Cons
It's a magnum so yes its harder to cock
Trigger sensitive
Manageable Recoil
Scope... base
my first magnum break barrel and initially i loved it, very accurate and not horrible cocking effort, but after about a tin of pellets the cocking motion started to become very gritty and would stick half way through the cycle, removed the action from the stock and it looks like the slide is digging into the tube so im not shooting it at this time i guess i will have to look into the warranty on this
Pros
powerful
Cons
hopefully none if they fix my cocking problem
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. Is there a upgrade for this scope?
asked Will from USAwhats the best pellet for this gun
asked christian from USAIn my experience, and I am very particular, I zeroed at 30yds, and I shot 5 different pellets with varying grains. The Magnum liked the most was JSB 18's, Crossman Copper Magnum 14's, Gamo Red Fire, lastly H & N Hornet 16's. If I had to chose one for constant all around use, it would be Crossman Copper Magnum. I also really liked the JSB's.
JOSE from USAPARTS AVAILABILITY-Where mite I be able to get the baffle, roller pin and tip/cover to my Swarm Magnum. I haven't been able to locate anything close to aquiring them. Love the gun though.
asked [email protected] from USAAny parts would have to be sourced thru Gamo USA.
Mark from USAI purchased the Gamo Swarm Magnum 22 cal. and love it! Is there any way I can put iron sights on this rifle or is strictly scope? and which scope works best with it that Air Gun Depo sells? Not looking for something pricey just one that works great! The scope that came with the gun is ok but not good enough
asked Stephen from USAVortex Crossfire II or UTG Hunter
JOSE from USAThere is no factory mount that will allow open sight unit on the Gamo Swarm. You may be able to custom make one. Look at the Leapers/UTG scope line. Good features, good prices.
Mark from USAWHAT IS SHROUDED VS. UN-SHROUDED AND WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE ONE OVER THE OTHER? WHAT EXACTLY IS SHROUDED OR COVERED BY A SHROUD, I DONT GET WHY THE MFGR DOESNT EXPLAIN/SELL IT BETTER, THERES NO MENTION OF IT IN ANY VERBAGE.
asked GLEN from USAThe shrouded version has a moderator and is slightly more quiet. The unshrouded model has a handgrip/muzzle brake that does not reduce the firing noise.
Mark from USAIs this rifle able to shoot slugs straight from the box. Thanks, Rae
