This gun has several problems. The main issue is that larger/heavier pellets like the JSB Monster and Beast fit in the magazine but do not load properly due to longer length and will damage the loading mechanism.
It also isn't very accurate. The recoil probably has a lot to do with the lack of accuracy, but even shooting from a bench rest this struggles to get groups smaller than 6" at 50 yards. My old Beeman break barrel groups 2.5" at the same distance.
Obviously, cocking this gun takes a lot of effort and if you aren't comfortable with your strength you probably should look for a different gun. That said, you aren't going to get this kind of power from a break barrel with an easier cocking piston.
Pros
Very powerful
Cons
Only loads smaller pellets
Not accurate even for a break barrel
Let me start by saying I'm 6 foot 2 300lbs, and this thing is a beast to cock, the stock is so long I had to remove the recoil pad just to get behind the scope.
And the bring me to the scope 3x12x32 small nice great on my a.r. sucks on this air gun.
To small can only be mounted in 1 place on rail putting it way to far forward, so off comes the rrr and mounted the scope straight to the rifle better not great.
300 rounds later I still could not hit a 3 foot wide piece of ply wood with any reliability, so I started looking at the gun and after looking down the barrel I found the issue!!!! THE SUPPRESSOR WAS NOT CENTERED, pulled the pins discarded suppressor insert, instant improvement.
40 rounds later had it sited in at 35 yds using crossman 14.3 gr hollow points. Shoots straight as hell with 3/8 in groups
Ordered new bigger scope and mounts should make it much better.
Pros
Great power, fun, very accurate after removing suppressor baffle, oh and still not loud
Cons
Crappy stock and tiny scope save your money buy the standard gun and buy a good scope. Nothing has gone wrong with the supplied ugt bugbuster but way to small for this rifle
This rifle is a monster ,you have to be a weight lifter to cock this beast.....from 30 yards I've destroyed my target....I feel so sorry for the little rodents in my hood...The scope is not bad,if I can find a bipod for it then it would be an all around perfect rifle..I would recommend this rifle..
Pros
nice weight,very accurate
Cons
you'll have the perfect biceps after cocking it all day
So far it is the best pellet rifle that I have purchased. I did have a problem sighting it in, and was un-happy about how long it took me to get a hold of a rep., but when I did get a hold of a rep. they did send me to a link that was helpful. The problem with the sighting it in, was that, the pellets that I was using were to light. They were 16gr, and when I switched to 17.90gr I could put the pellets on top of each other at 10 yds.. Of coarse this could be my particular rifle. I also had a problem loading the clips. The first pellets I tried didn't fit very well in the clips, and I had a few jams. Again the problem went away when I switched pellets brands. I love the ten shot clip. It saves a lot of time. I even bought a second one. I still haven't had the time to shoot at further distances, and would like to see how it does at 20yds..
Powerful rifle. Fast delivery
Very happy with the gun.
The extra power it delivers over a 177 has been great for plinking and destroying targets. The 10 round rotary magazines work well, I've been firing h&n baracuda hunter 18.5 grain pellets in it and I'm glad I went with the better scope package that airgun depot offers.
Things to be aware of:
It took a couple roto mags to break in. The first few shots were pretty harsh and I was a little concerned but it smoothed out with just a little bit of use.
The stock scope that it normally comes with absolutely sucks and this airgun depot upgraded scope package is worth every penny if you don't already have a decent scope to put on it.
This gun is a beast! Once I tuned in the scope I was shooting super accurately at 100 yds. There is no break barrel that shoots a 22 caliber round at a higher FPS. Not even most pcps. With a 5 year warranty it's a no-brainer. The ten round magazine never fails. It's also quieter than advertised. Love it tons of fun to shoot I highly recommended. Get one!
Nice air rifle, nice scope, bad combination package for sale. This is not enough scope for this air rifle. I mounted this scope on my Gamo .22 swarm the compact scope leaves clearance for the reloader mechanism. I will purchase a scope worthy of this air rifle.
I finally received mine yesterday - believe it or not these international orders take time. First impressions, gun feels great in the hand. I love the weight of it and how balanced the gun feels.
I've always loved GAMO, for some reason people just want to hate GAMO. I think their products are great for the price, and they require that you learn to shoot them properly, to become proficient. That is fine, you need to learn your rifle.
This is my first gas piston rifle, so now I own a GAMO Whisper Silent Cat .177 (very accurate) and this bad boy, the feel is different. It makes my silent cat feel cheap.
The trigger is excellent, crisp break, great feel. (Coming from the SAT in the silent cat)
I would like the gun perhaps 1 pound heavier to help with the recoil, because this gun kicks like a monster.
Great rifle overall - need I say anything about 10 shot repeater? Nope. It's just right!
Pros
Hard to cock = POWERHOUSE. This thing hits with authority. No questions asked. Scarily not a toy.
Cons
Sound suppression? This gun is loud.
1 magazine.

Pros
Ergonomics are great with this rifle. Everything about it feels high quality. It took about 8 magazines of pellets before it settled down into a fifty cent piece hole at 60 yards. The ground squirrels don't stand a chance now! This rifle has really cleaned them out! The magazine works great!
Cons
The safety lever is in front of the trigger within the trigger guard. To put it on SAFE, you pull it toward the trigger... the same motion as the trigger that is directly behind it. Yes, it does feel different than the trigger and is very positive but I just cringe to think that sometime I might just get on the wrong part!
