Powered by a Vortex gas-piston powerplant, the Proxima is ready for hours of backyard target shooting and small game hunting. This air rifle’s greatest asset is its ability to quickly fire repeating shots, thanks to the 2 included spring-loaded rotary magazines. With a cock of the underlever, you’re ready to fire again and again.
Featuring a Turkish walnut thumbhole stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and ergonomic pistol grip, the Proxima is ready for the trail with its included carrying sling. Resting in the stock is a black chrome finished barrel and cylinder to provide maximum protection against corrosion. Hatsan’s combo rail system gives shooters a choice of their preferred optics whether Weaver/Picatinny or Dovetail--or if you prefer, use the included fiber-optic sights. Hatsan’s famed Quattro Trigger ensures a clean break for maximum accuracy.
If you’re looking for a gas piston that delivers power, performance, and repeating shots, make the Proxima the next star of your backyard range.

Great gun, please just be aware of this design issue! No regrets, it is a good value for a reliable multishot.
Pros
Very solid, accurate. and comfortable shooter in multi shot to boot! I'm using this as an open sight target rifle in .177 and it exceeds my expectations in hitting the bottom of a soda can at 75yards 1/10 shots. Just getting the feel of it now, but it's giving my rws model 54 a run for its money as a favorite just because of the easy cycling and simplicity of open sights.
Cons
Not too heavy or hard to cycle for me, but my girlfriend had a difficult time fully engaging the cocking mechanism. After 4-5 attempts she got it cycled then fired with a very heavy thud being the only report. It turns out if you only partially pull the lever it will load a pellet with every attempt and jam the gun!! I used an all steel hopps cleaning rod with a jag on the end as well as wd/40 to hammer the pellets out back through the breech with the air chamber taped over to prevent oil and pellets from falling into it. Success, no apparent damage.
You do need one, actually. You need it in the way people need British motorcycles. It certainly won't be your everyday go-to, but it serves a purpose and proves a point.
Pros
Fantastic stock. Not only comfortable to shoot once cocked, it looks badass. Good trigger that can actually be adjusted. If you take the time to sight it in correctly, it is deadly accurate. Nice Picatinny rail.
Cons
Oh, I have such a mixed relationship with this rifle. It is heavy. Very heavy. It is also heavy to cock, as in "put your chiropractor on danger money." If I were going off for squirrel hunting for an afternoon, I'd as likely grab my Hatsan 87, which is much lighter, about 90% as accurate when dialed in, and can be cocked without the help of three men and a boy. The Proxima magazines work well enough, but they are better reloaded at a bench than in the middle of the woods. If you wanted another multi-shot rifle with significant spank, the Gamo Swarm Magnum has better magazines, an excellent stock, and a fairly good trigger.

Fantastic air rifle. Great Quality. Buy!!!
Pros
Very impressive pellet rifle. High quality and attention to detail from the gold plated trigger to the leather embroidered sling to the only plastic is the trigger guard and front sight mount. Even the rails to mount accessories is metal. I don't know how they sell a pellet rifle of this quality so cheap. Great price for this. You want a high quality self contained air rifle, I highly recommend this one. Mine is the 25 caliber and it is a blast to shoot. Shot 80 rounds the first 2 days I had it. I'm in my 60s so any younger adult should be able to handle this
Cons
Nothing
I am somewhat of a novice to air gun shooting so my thoughts are based on my limited knowledge, but I have shot a lot of centerfire rifles. I have found the rifle to be consistently accurate once you find the right pellet (3/4" groups at 30 yds.). Would probably do better if I could hold it steadier. The rifle seems to me to be slightly quieter than my other air rifle, an under lever springer. The cocking does take some effort, more than my under lever springer, so for old guys like me (76 years young) just be prepared. I believe I will get used to it but some older guys might find it too difficult to handle. All in all, for the price and performance I am very happy with my purchase even though I have only had the rifle a short time.
Pros
I really like the stock and grip and the fact that it is a repeater with a magazine.
Cons
It does take some energy to cock and for an old man like me is a bit taxing. For me it makes a quick follow up shot difficult. With a scope the rifle is heavy, between 11 and 12 pounds I would think.
It is really to bad that people blame the Springer and not them self for poor accuracy artillery hold is of utmost importance when shooting a Springer especially in .25 caliber. These guns are extremely accurate out to 45 yards.
Awesome. Everything I expected.
I wanted to like this rifle, unfortunately it would not zero! I installed a UTG drooper rail and I still had to shim the scope and it will not zero side to side!
Pros
This is a beautiful gun! I have it in .25 cal. and like the 10 shot magazine!
Cons
It IS A HEAVY GUN! And what good is a beau
tiful, expensive rifle if you cannot hit anything because it will not zero in!
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. Will it shoot slugs of any type accurately?
asked David from USAI would like to use this gun for field target matches . Can you load one pellet at a time in the barrel ? I don;t think field target rules allows the use of magazines in guns during matches for safety reasons . Can the the gun be fitted with a 12 fpe ram to comply with the WFTF rules ? Does this gun come in a spring version ?
asked Steves from USAWhich scopes fit the Hatsan Proxima rifle. Are any other parts needed to mount a scope on this rifle?
asked Christopher from USAjust about any scope that is rated for springer air rifles, they have to deal with the spring rebound recoil, they will use either picatiny or 11mm'3/8 in dovetail mount
James from USAIs this available in a synthetic stock?
asked Frank from USADAVID ,before u condem the gun double ck. your scope , i have tried several different brands on mine and they all work well , but the atg seem to work best in lower lite conditions , just a tip each time u have to adj. the turrets on you scope take a small dowell stick about 8 inches in length and litely tap on the barrel of the scope to settle the new settings. u might find it works better. just a thought
James from USAnot at this time as far as i know
James from USAYou think it could kill a hog? If so what Cal. Would work best?

Randy from USAWould the company be making it more powerful like the 125 sniper? Because a lot of real shooting need pellet stabilization !!! You just don't make a rifle that nice of quality and looks with power of 30 or 50 dollars rifle! You can go to Walmart for that!!!! Not to say the least!!! We will spending alot of money on looks!! We're hunters and shooters!! 400 dollars just to plink? I'm going to let you answer that
asked TonyDon't let the numbers fool you. With the right pellet my .25 punched holes through a heavy metal grill lid. None of my PCP or break barrel .22s could do that. Yes there are more powerful break barrel .25s out there, but this is a repeater. Well worth the purchase. Great quality

Randy from USAWould this gun compare to a tx200 in accuracy
asked Stephen from USAHow good is hatsan quality compared to others?
asked DougWay better than most in its price range. That's been my experience with the 2 I have
Randy from USAI understand this rifle weighs in a bit over 11 pounds and that the cocking power needed is in excess of 52 pounds. At age 73, this means it is a formidable challenge, although not so much "today" as tomorrow as I enter the inevitable decline expected by all of us. First, does the gun actually weigh in at or above 11 pounds? Second, does it require more than 50 pounds of pressure to be cocked? Thank you for your help!
asked Russ from USAYes it is every bit of 11 pounds and 40 pounds of pressure. I'm 63 with a bad heart and still shoot 30 rounds before I tire. It comes with a sling to make it easier to carry around when you are hunting. 11 pounds of quality

bought one of these, right out of the box it was broken; wouldn't fully complete the cocking process. took a huge box to send it back with the cocking lever down. got a replacement, and shot it a couple times - worked great. took it out a second time, and it misfired, and (i assume) imploded the piston/chamber. was left with the gun half cocked, needing a huge box to ship it back again. airgun depot made me pay for the box. the whole process has been a pain; a waste of time and money. so much potential with this piece, at a great price point, but hatsan failed big time with this piece. do NOT buy this gun!!
Pros
beautiful piece, nice features
Cons
very unreliable, very heavy, poor customer service via hatsan
