Pros
I like the rifle, mine says it’s 1300 FPS and came with a skeletonize stock Like most everyone else has already said, toss the scope. It doesn’t hold it moves slightly, you adjust it fire and hit where your aiming. Next shot is totally different. Get a better scope, other than that I like it. It fires anything you put in it as far as pellets.
Cons
Terrible scope
I have owned 4 of these. The first one was very accurate but the piston seal tore in under 500 shots. The second one had a loose barrel pivot bolt and I stripped the threads out when I tried to tighten it (inferior quality metal). It never was accurate. Number 3 was not accurate and broke after about 1000 shots. Number 4 is accurate but I have only fired it about 50 shots . I bought a RWS 34P refurbished from Airgun Depot for around $130 it's 10x the gun the Blackhawk is, so why bother? it's a waste of time and money as well as being very fustrating.
Pros
Looks like a RWS 34P.
Cons
It is not a RWS 34P.
I had rifle sent directly to my 78 yr old uncle. It thrilled him, he said that he always wanted one, but could never free up the money...nothing I've ever gave him made him as happy as this rifle did!!!
Pros
great quality!
Cons
I have none...
I bought two of these. They were refurbs without scopes. I mounted scopes on mine, and they are surprisingly accurate. The fit and finish are superb. Accuracy is about 1 inch at 25 yards with ordinary pellets. I have shot ten different kinds of pellets through these guns, and they all shoot pretty well. Triggers are not bad. Better than expected. This is a well executed copy of RWS 34. Even at full price this is a great value. I enjoy shooting at old soda cans filled with water. These guns tear them up!
Pros
Elegant, nicely designed rifle. Accurate and powerful. Trigger is good and adjustable. Affordable. Fun, fun to shoot. The open sights work great, and were zeroed right out of the box.
Cons
The barrels droop. I had to shim one of my scopes to compensate and I got a droop compensating mount for the other. I believe this a common trait of break barrel spring guns, so I'm giving five stars anyway. Not a deal breaker.
I have a great time shooting this gun at targets and pests.
Pros
very accurate, love the painted sights very easy to break down and load.
Cons
could never get the scope sighted in, so I took it off.
I've had this gun for almost a year and it's power and accuracy hasn't disappointed me yet! This gun kills groundhogs from 50 yards on the first shot! Uses any kind of ammo and it's easy to use for a typical teenage boy to a grown man! Only complaint is that the scope that comes with it is garbage buy a new one with this gun!
Pros
Powerful and easy to use
Cons
Bad scope
Very accurate. Super Ruger quality and great price. Toss the free scope and put a Simmons 4x32 Mag 22 on it for 20 cent size groups at 25 yds.
Pros
Accurate, nice trigger
Cons
None
I plan on geting this for my little brother this Christmas. My friend has one and I have the big brother to this one , the air mag .177. We both love our guns and have had to do plenty of upgrades. For example, we both pianted our stocks useing pine needles,Put RWS 4-12x50 illuminated milldot reticle scopes, and took open the open sights sights off because they could be seen in our scopes. Plus they look cool with the muzzle muzzle breaks we put on them. And after putting nearly $600 into them we finaly got them driving tacks at 100yds. We plan on doing the same stuff to his. So to some it up you dont need all those upgrades if you plan on shooting under 50yds. And I definitely love the power accuracy price ratio. All ruger airguns are great but need stuff done to them in order to get good groups outside 50yds.
Pros
Good price power accuracy value
Cons
Need some money to get accurate groups outside 50yds
This rifle is very powerful and it hits it's mark very hard. It is a great gun if you're on a budget. Just use Gamo PBA pellets, and you've got a masterpiece. I recommend this gun.
Pros
The gun feels good in your hands and can take a turkey down! The price can't be beat. Handles any .177 pellet very well while other guns require certain ammo.
Cons
You have to tighten the screws up every 150-200 shots or the thing will recoil itself apart.

asked Tré from USAWhat type of pellet should I use? I'm generally looking for a well balanced pellet, I'll normally be shooting targets and snapping turtles
asked Gavyn from USAyou should use the round tip 177. they are more accurate with anything over 1000 fps.

asked vilaisackHey i heard this gun is really loud for an .177 air rifle. Is that true? I know that these guns are usually loud for the first few shots until you break it in but then they quiet down. Is this gun still loud after continuous use?
asked Mikey GOk there are two answers here. The firing of the pellet and the noise that the gun make mechanically since it is a spring piston gun. Almost all guns will be loud if the pellet is too light for the power of the gun. The light pellet will break the sound barrier and sound like a 22 rifle. The mechanical spring does make a lot of noise as well and it is quite loud in a quiet setting. You will scare birds, rabbits, and squirrels when you shoot if you are close but not nearly as much as a 22 rimfire if you use heavy pellets.
Mike from USAI have a friend with this gun and we fire it in his back yard all the time. He lives in the city and nothing has ever happened. The noise is marked as a "medium", but I don't really think it's that loud. You can definitely hear the spring go off, but it's not enough to piss off neighbors or get the cops called on you. As far as hunting goes, I have no idea. Neither he nor I have taken it out in the woods yet.
Isaac from USACan you shoot bb's with this gun?
asked MomThe ammo type is pellets. So no it does not shoot BB's.
Scott from USAWe can't cock the gun what is wrong? I just bought it and tried with safety on and safety off. Can't get it to move and don't understand.
asked Seth SweatmanYou have to really knock it with your palm rather hard the first time. After that it shouldn't be as difficult as the first time. The more you do it, the easier it seems to get. By the way, don't feel dumb. I was afraid of breaking it at first so I didn't put much force into it either. Until I learned more about the gun, I didn't even attempt it. Hope this helps (if you haven't already figured it out).
CodyYou have to slap the barrel with some force. Don't try to just pull it. It's hard at first but once you get it then it's easier. By slap I mean....the palm of your hand needs to hit the barrel with a pretty good amount of force.
CodySeth, I'm sorry your are having trouble with the gun. Often times guns are difficult to break/cock for the first time. Here is the easiest way break the barrel properly. Sit down and place the gun across your lap. With the barrel overhanging, hit the barrel near the front sight with the palm of your hand and it should open up. Please let us know if you still can't cock your rifle. Sincerely, The Airgun Depot Customer Care Team
Steve from USAHow is the trigger pull?
asked Mike MillerIt has a two stage military style trigger. The first stage (the pull until you meet resistance) is fully adjustable to the point you can eliminate it entirely by turning the adjustment screw all the way. The second stage is clean and crisp and breaks at about 3.5 pounds of pull. That, to me, is just about perfect for a hunting gun. Bench rest shooters prefer a lighter trigger, but I think it is an excellent copy of the Diana 34 T05 trigger that is ideal for safe field carry when hunting.
