The Ruger Mark IV is a breakbarrel pellet pistol modeled after the successful line of firearms with the same name. It gives you maximum speeds up to 360 fps when shooting .177 caliber pellets and will provide you with endless enjoyment while plinking or for target practice.
If you're familiar with the real steel handgun version of the Mark IV, you'll recognize the air pistol version right away, because it has many of the same style components to provide you with a very similar look and feel. It's great for people new to airguns as a way to get familiarized, or for anyone who wants to shoot round after round without wearing themselves out, because it has a low cocking effort and it's lightweight.
This single shot air pistol features a rifled barrel, so it gives you shots that are more accurate when using pellets than competing models without rifling, and the light and dependable single stage trigger gives you a predictable break for each shot. It has a manual/automatic thumb safety and it features a handy one stroke cocking mechanism to provide you with ease of use.
You won't have to worry about losing your hold on the gun because the grip panels have a checkered part at the bottom, and they also have a smooth part at the top that highlights the Ruger logo. Plus, you'll get extra accuracy because of the adjustable rear sight and the fixed fiber optic front sight featured on this air pistol.
If you're in the market for an airgun version of a famous and classic handgun that is as much fun to shoot as it is affordable and attractive, get the Ruger Mark IV at Airgun Depot now.

I followed some suggestions from a YouTuber and helped it a lot. I added almost 8oz of #9 lead shot to the hollow grip. Much better weight. Then silicone spray and graphite through the safety opening and along trigger. This has helped condiderably. The trigger pull is still long and rough but much lighter and with practice, can be staged for a clean let off. It is now much better and more accurate. Great gun for the price. I recommend it.
Pros
Beautiful air pistol. Great for indoor or outdoor plinking with safe target and backstop. Well built.
Cons
Trigger is way too heavy. A different spring and polishing of internals during assembly would help a lot.
Worst barrel droop I have ever seen on an airgun... I will see if it works itself in.
Pros
None
Cons
Barrel droop
You need to know what it is you’re getting. I thoroughly enjoy this pistol I just wish that the trigger pool wasn’t so stiff. However, I like the challenge of knowing how to work your trigger pull and learn the nature of the trigger. Other than this issue I thoroughly enjoy this pistol. I owned the buck mark and it is way quieter than the bookmark. If you’re looking for a silky smooth trigger this is definitely not the pistol for you. If you’re not afraid to Train with this pistol it will serve you well and in general help you with all your other pistols.
Pros
Like the buckmark, this pistol will make you a better shooter.
Cons
A lighter trigger pull
Pros
I like this gun, it is fun for my family and I to practice shooting with.
We like the look of the ruger.
For the price it is worth it.
Cons
The sights aren't very accurate and a little more power wouldn't hurt.

Login to ask someone who bought this product.is it alright to leave a spring piston break barrel cocked all the time.
asked George from USAWill it shoot darts?
asked Jerry from USAUnder Specifications, the gun's weight is 3.15lbs. In the listed features, the weight is 1.35lbs. This makes me wonder... is this gun metal or plastic?
asked Les from USAweight is 1.344. done with diet scale.
George from USAWorking parts are metal - grips and barrel cover are plastic. I doubt it's over a few pounds, though. It's very similar to the Buckmark in operation and style - lots of faux details and auto safety. It's a tin emptier, for sure. Buy two for quick spur of the moment competitions.
Wade from USAis it possible to install some kind of optics or laser sight ?
asked Yevgenij from PortugalThe description states 1. 35 lbs and the specs state 3.15 lbs. which is correct?

George from USAI weight my Ruger pistol and it weights 1 Lb. 6 Oz. . Spray silicone on trigger area and see if that helps the trigger. it'll never be a light trigger but you can get use to it. After all it's a close range plinker.
RONNIE M from USAI have not shot this gym but either wold be fine. Good luck and hope this was helpful.

My collection of air guns is at about 30. It's nice to go back to non-Co2 guns. This one is the one you want for quiet and affordable plinking.
Pros
This gun looks good. It is blaster-like. It is very well made. I was expecting a full plastic gun at this price. It is not. It's about half metal. This gun is worth every penny. I bought the Browning Buck Mark at the same time because they are both so affordable.
Cons
None.
