I use this for small game, plinking and Field Target shooting. I only changed the scope to a Barska Airgun scope with adjustable objective. I do head shots on squirrels at 50 yards using pointed pellets. I own several air rifles, all more expensive, none shoot better.
bought without scope. gun is solid and quite heavy. not a gun for a child. break barrel action is pretty stiff. accuracy is pretty good once you have something other than the plastic sights (these are junk).
This gun is POWERFUL! Everyone talks bad about it and I know why...it ships with a nice scope (Nice enough for the price that is) but the scope mounts are junk. You'll find yourself unable to zero it in with the stock scope mounts. You'll run out of adjustment in one direction or another eventually. Get new stock mounts and this problem will be resolved. Before you even fire a single round, dismantle the gun and put loctite on every screw except the adjustment knobs on the stock. Lastly, learn to shoot a spring piston rifle. Hold the grip lightly and let the gun recoil all the while keeping the crosshairs on target. It takes some practice. Once you do all of this you will have yourself a really great, accurate, high powered air gun for very little money. I purchased this gun for 2 reasons. 1: I absolutely love the way the gun looks. 2: I wanted to see if all of the negative reviews were accurate. I got the gun for $60 with free shipping so I had nothing to lose. Verdict: I LOVE THIS GUN! I have 4 air rifles. Two Spring piston, one gas piston and one pcp. This is my favorite out of them all. It's weighted nicely, the stock feels so amazing once you adjust it and it is deadly accurate with a ton of punch. I use it to night hunt rats and it gets the job done with authority.
Pros
High Powered and a great price
Cons
Needs a little lovin before first shooting it.
Very powerful and accurate. On the heavy side but fine by me. Stock is kinda short and takes some getting used to and the trigger has a lot of slack compared to my other guns. Only had about a month and it is too much fun for a really good price.
Pros
Good scope
Powerful
Accurate
Cons
Trigger pull is long
Short stock
For the price and being my first pellet rifle, this is a great choice. Very powerful. Scope could be a little bit better. Was able to get it somewhat zeroed. Using different types of ammo on a plywood target, this had the power to send MORE then a few through the plywood @ 100ft. (H&N Hornet was the one that I used mostly)
Pros
Powerful
Cons
Scope is good but can not zero 100%. (Might be just mine. Will be buying a different scope to see.)
Bought this break barrel for plinking around out on the country side where I live, Very Impressed to say the least.... I find I get better acuracy with a Light subsonic round but extream killing power with a supersonic heavy round and you can hear that round break the sounbarrier its pretty cool...
Pros
Good Buy for the money, Nice Scope
This should be no refection of the good service of the airgundepot. Gun fps is more like 850fps with alloy. Scope is not zeroable and after 8 days and 12 or more calls to Swiss Arms not one response. Pick another Mfg.
Pros
This Dealer is Top notch
Cons
All swiss arms products
Rear sights appear to be slightly angled off. Sighted the scope in. If you reach a max on horizontal reposition the scope and eyesight. Managed a consistent 6 within an inch of bullseye. One opossum down first day. I'm enjoying this gun.
Pros
Scope view is great and it's a solid scope overall. The zoom feature is great.
Cons
Stock adjustments could be a little better.
The power is super,Its fast and two the point
The scope and cost makes it best deal around
Pros
Power
Scope
Cost
Cons
Spring broke after 500 rounds

asked Pedro from USAThe Swiss Arms TG-1 is not particularly good.

Bang for your buck, don’t hesitate on purchase.
Pros
Way more power than my gamo and marginally better accuracy. Scope is decent. With 10gr pellets it does some serious damage. Very impressed with it for the price.
Cons
Could use a 3-9x40 for my old eyes and for accuracy I little lighter trigger.
